  • Ok so I restarted, and disabled all Chrome addons... seems to be working now.

  • Installed Firefox and it's working on there, still very puzzled with the Chrome issue though.

Also please add the ability to sign from C3!!!

  • Hi all,

I have an issue with exporting. I've tried this with HTML5, and Cordova exports.

Whenever I try to export, the export options window is displayed (deduplicate images, recompress images, minify script). When I click next, the next screen is displayed very briefly (less than 0.5 seconds), then I am kicked out of C3, to the previous page I was on in the browser.

I've tried updating Chrome but with no luck. I'm on version 61.0.3163.91 (Official Build) (64-bit).

Please can someone help me? I'm really stuck not being able to export at the moment!

  • Haha, ok I wasn't aware of any issues with Dropbox today.

I'm looking for someone to do a logo for me so I've PMd you with my email address.

  • Hi, those images don't load for me...

  • Hi there,

Is there a way to find out a list of what could be returned by the Platform option on the Browser?

I found the following in the documentation but only Win32 is mentioned.

    Platform

Get the current platform the browser reports itself running on, e.g. Win32 for Windows.

    Thanks

  • Works on my laptop in a normal browser, but not on my phone. I'm puzzled!

  • Hi there,

I'm developing a game using the basic platform behavior. It's designed to be used on a mobile phone or tablet (touch controls). I have an event to constantly push the right button on platform behavior, so the player is always running.

I want to change the colour of my player sprite when it's not moving (i.e. when it runs into a wall). I check the Is Moving condition, and if it's not moving then set the colour with an effect.

This works fine when I run on my laptop with Chrome. However, when I test on my iPhone in Chrome or Safari (also tried saving to home screen), it doesn't detect when the player sprite stops moving. I tried changing the event to test when the speed=0 (should be the same thing as Not Is Moving), but that doesn't work either. I output the speed value to a text box, and it fluctuates when the player is supposed to be stopped (between 0 and a really low value).

Does anybody have any idea why this would be?

    Thanks,

  • Hi there,

This is my first post. First of all - love Construct 2!

I'm playing about with an idea for a platform game, but I didn't like the default scrolling behaviour - I want the player to see further infront of them when running. I tried the lerp scroll to example given here https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/626/making-a-smooth-following-camera but it sets the player close to the front edge of the screen when running forward - I want the opposite.

I created this project which pretty much does what I want (I'm pretty sure the calculations could be improved with lerp or something). I actually really like this behaviour - it's quite snappy but with a smooth effect and gives good visibility of the screen. Thought I'd share it (use arrow keys for controls):

    Here's the project download: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9719255/games/BetterScrollTo/BetterScrollTo.capx

It needs some refinement but I really think this could be a good feature to add to the scroll to behaviour to avoid the requirement to do custom code like this - if scroll to had properties for xOffset, yOffset, cameraAdjustSpeed or something along those lines it could make the platform behaviour wil scroll to a bit more usable out of the box. Would appreciate your feedback - maybe this is already possible in a much simpler way!

    Cheers,
