  • I've had the privilege of playing part of RRH and I must say I was really impressed with the game. I'm really looking forward to the finished product. Good luck Rozpustelnik.

  • Brilliant. Thanks for the info.

  • This is a really cool project. I love how the characters are nice and large on the screen. Can you tell me what resolution you rendered your main character at and how many frames per second the animation plays at. (I don't mean the overall game, just the character animation fps).

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hi Dark Room Games, is everything pre-rendered sprites or do you have 3D assets in the game? Can you please post a gameplay video?

  • I just checked the prices.... I think I'll stick with C2 license, and consider a C3 license if I was ever to make money from games.

( I realise £79/year is not a huge amount of money but for someone like myself who is "not there yet..." its a consideration)

  • I've been dabbling with Construct 2 since June (2017) and I'm now at the stage of considering buying a license, so should I go for C3 and will there ever be an offline version of C3?

  • Hi roguecore I just got to the boss on the demo and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed your game. At first I thought the level was too big and maze-like but I soon found all the rescue pods (or whatever) - and then was glad to find that I didn't have to get back to the ship.

    pros

    • being able to destroy the enemy spawn points
    • the amount of enemies
    • particle effects (or enemy death animations)
    • weapon upgrades
    • the music is really nice
    • the level feels big and requires proper exploration

    cons/glitches

    • the player should have a simple (2 frame) walk animation
    • the default weapon sound is a little weak sounding
    • weapon would randomly upgrade (even though I hadn't made a rescue)

    Hope that helps roguecore.

  • Hi Cryttexx

I played the demo and I've left some feedback on your survey, but for the benefit of other forum users here some of it.

    • Get rid of the TV filter, it doesn't add anything to the look; it just makes the sprites/graphics look a little worse than they should
    • I don't think you need health AND the blue thing ("akku") - just have one or the other...
    • the little orange tank bot has really glitchy movement when changing directions
    • there's too many "walls of text" at the start... keep it simple, "here's the controls, etc... good luck"
    • the player controls are very slippy... unless that's what its supposed to be like
    • When I got to the end door it opened, but then closed before I got in....
  • Christina I really like the graphics and the sounds

  • Hi argail,

Cool game btw. Just noticed a glitch in level 2.

Also in level 2 if your ship drops from being destroyed the level doesn't reset.

  • Really enjoyed your game RattyRat. At first I didn't understand what the blimps/balloons were for but then I realised they are a real life saver. I like how the level re-generates after a wee while. The sounds are also really bassy and satisfying. Good stuff.

  • It mirrors fine when using WASD.

BTW... the initial score is always half of your last score????

  • Better than "Tili"??? Just kidding. But seriously that's a fun game. You should have it as an un-lockable mini-game in Tili.

  • Really nice customization Donald. Does the car keep moving so the player just steers and shoots?

  • Hi 0Hayes, I watched the first episode last night, very impressive. Your concepts all look great. I never really thought of doing digital mock ups before - I'm pretty much a pencil and paper guy, although I do use google for reference images - but I think I might try this (using GIMP) for my current project. Even if it's just for the level's colour pallette.

    Good luck with this series.
