  • Why makes you think kids want to play games like that? Hell, when I was 7 I played Carmageddon 1. When I was 4 or five I played Wolfenstein 3D, Doom and such FPS games.

Kids don't like little colored squares or simple paint programs.

My kids love games like that. Not all children are derranged maniacs, contrary to what you obviously believe.

I'm not sure where this weird attitude of yours has come from either. I suggest you stop it.

Nice work man. Makes me want to do a small write up on my recent C2 project website, telling to dos and don'ts. Glad the end result was so good! :D

  • I'm not sure I follow your problem exactly, but you may need to include "str(your words here)" in the event to get a good result.

Can you post a capx otherwise?

  • I just +1'd this, so the evil empire can read it.

  • I'm back now, but I've had the flu for the last few days. I'm still a little under the weather, but I'll give it a look here now.

    *EDIT*

Awesome. It seems to work perfectly now. Good job!

I will let you know if I find any more bugs :D

  • Thanks, guys... I am surprised there is no 'game art' section on the forum...

Any art assets, sort of fall under the category of Tools/Resources. Some people choose to share this kind of thing in Open Topic, but since yours seems to be a commercial package I would suggest T&R would be a good place to submit things like this in future if you want more people to see it.

Nice work by the way. They look pretty polished :D

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Out of curiosity, how are you animating this? I presume hand drawing "body parts" then hinging them with bones in Anime Studio, or something? The result is far better than anything I ever achieved in AS.

I usually resort to manual frame placement in Photoshop, and baking the frames in. Even then, I've had limited success though mind you, I have only animated like 3 things ever xD I think my third attempt was 500x better than my second, which was 1000x better than my first...

You are making me feel like doing some animation :/

  • I've noticed on pass 3, that the head looks a little like he's head-bangin' as his head returns from the sharp dipping motion. The second pass I think looked a lot nicer and fluid, since he tips his head back slightly as it dips rather than doing the head-banger stare.

It looks freaking awesome though. Like, if the purpose wasn't to over-analyse it... you could easily get away with using that as a final product.

  • It_lags!

Runs perfectly fine for me :/

I was wondering how they were going to do the multi-touch levels. Seems they have made some PC specific puzzles to replace those.

  • Nice find. I used to love Autodesk stuff back in the day. I used Animator quite a lot back then. It's cool to see something following Autodesk's lead and refreshing the way we used to do things :D

Also, moved thread to Tools/Resources section.

  • Great effort Sol!

Loaded in about 4 seconds, loved it!

Wow you have done a lot of work with mouse on event animations, I was especially impressed with the smooth execution of each coffee cup zoom.

How did you do this? Animation Frames or Scale?

    Andy

    Thanks mate :)

I used a lot or Lerp and Cosp to achieve the zooms, and menus "flying" about. Big thanks to Quazi for the Cosp forumla!

As you are building this site, don't for get to test this in all types of computers, web-browser, and connection... just a thought from a web-designer if you were to make this real a site.

Thanks, I happen to be a "real" web designer, so... yeah haha I already tested this on several platforms, on several hardware configurations. IT runs pretty nicely on a fairly moderate system, and still at a high enough framerate on a really old computer to be usable.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys. The client loves it :D
