    Battery is still full after 2 good days useage, which is nice to see.

    I do miss the GPS on the N95 though, handy.

    Yeah the GPS is nice, though I wanted to punch mine the other day because it made me go the LONGEST WAY POSSIBLE... I just wanted to test it out even though I knew where I was going, and the trip took an extra 15 minutes (it was meant to be a 30 minute journey that ended up taking closer to 45) to get where I was going. The voice is rather annoying as well... "In 500 meters, turn left. Now turn left!"

  • Because of the prefix "sci" I always pronounced it "sigh - rah", though through proper English grammar I believe that any vowel followed by a double letter changes it's pronunciation... in which case it should be "sih - rah"??

  • I wish the N95 had worked, but I can't find anything wrong with the Viewty yet.

    The only annoying thing is the MicroSD slot is under the battery .

    Yeah that's like the Nokia 6500 I bought about a week before the N95... I ended up giving the 6500 to my wife because she practically stole it from me anyway... the memory card was next to the battery, but you couldn't get it out without removing the battery first, and the SIM card was tucked UNDER the memory card... talk about annoying to change it over for whatever reason.

  • For info, it arrived broken! :O So I sent it back and got an LG Viewty (which is cheaper anyway).

    I'll see how it goes over the next few days. It looks very very nice though.

    Damn broken? That sucks... also I heard the Viewty has severe software issues, I was recommended by the guy who owns the phone store not to get it.

  • It may be easier if you can tell us what parts you did not understand, maybe we can explain it better. Making a video tutorial is a lot of work if we can avoid it by helping you in other ways. What part specifically did you have trouble with?

    Thanks for the heads up on the card, I'll grab some 2gb ones.

    Yeah the front will be silver, but the back will be either a metallic plum or a metallic sand colour... I think the plum looks the best, but meh I ended up with the crappiest colour of all... black. I hate black phones, it makes them look cheap.

  • It should arrive within a week. Sadly I couldn't get an 8gb version, but I'll buy some cards for it.

    Ah bummer... the 1Gb verison is still basically the same minus a few features. Be careful though, the largest micro SD card they can take is a 2Gb... we tried one with a 4Gb card and it said the card was corrupted and asked if we wanted to format it... we tried to format and it wouldn't do it

    Maybe there is a firmware upgrade or something for them? I dunno, but either way it's still a crazy phone and 2Gb is probably big enough anyway. I have the 8Gb and so far I have only been able to put 1Gb of stuff on it and I can't think of anything else to add to it!

    The 1Gb versions look nicer as well anyway... what colour did you get? The plum or the sand one? The 8Gb is only available in black sadly.

  • Looks great Capt'n. It's got that nice professional touch to it without being overly simplified, yet not too busy or confusing. I like the colour scheme as well... looks very similar to the kind of work I usually do.

    Hey looks nice and clean. Very simple yet very effective. My only suggestion is to do something with the background, maybe a 45� interlacing over the gray just to break it up yet still keeping it simple.
