  • After seeing that awesome shizzle by Quazi, I decided to make a cool lava effect based on his idea. Feel free to add this the demo page if you want Ash, I just made it for something to do.

  • Hey mate that's a cool effect

This would be awesome for an RPG overhead map thing, or even as a loading screen!

  • Run your project in Debug mode, it gives you an object count.

  • For fullscreen you need to set your resolution for the window in the runtime properties of your layout. After you pick the resolution you want, you can force it to fullscreen by selecting "fullscreen" from the same menu area.

As far as a menu is concerned I assume you mean a "file menu". That, I am not even sure you can do? I could be wrong though... wouldn't be the first or the last time I'm sure.

Fortunately, it will be improved in the next version, 2.6, which is coming really soon.

Are they adding basic functionality into it yet? I'm sorry, but any graphics program I spend over 30 minutes looking for a marquee/lasso tool, and can't find one...

    SUCKS!

Nice and unplayable like the original.

Crashes for me when I try to run it... loads in Construct fine but won't play. D:

  • Hmmm yeah it doesn't quite work 100% right does it... I started having a few weird problems with my example as well, like objects not moving after they came to a complete rest, even though the player had higher mass etc than the object being pushed.

Either one of a few things will need to happen:

    1. Make your own custom movement engine for your character, and ditch the platform movement.

    2. Don't use physics objects at all

    3. Try making your player just ue platform movement, and make an invisible "detector" object thats always right next to your character which has physics properties. Maybe using a sperete object would work better?

    4. Team Scirra will need to address the issue of multiple behaviours on a single object

    5. Make it so non physics objects can interact with physics objects, as you suggested it may have been there before.

  • Come on guys, this isn't 4chan... I'm sure if a few of us had decently sized images (file size mainly) it wouldn't be an issue.

I'd be more than happy to make whatever sigs for people, or make file size optimisations for people where needed. If you guys could see my computer, you would understand why I want image sigs... it's too ordinary looking otherwise, and lacks awesome.

If you feel like fixing it, I volunteer to be the official sig police if that is necessary...

    *EDIT*

Faggatron... are you on dial up or something? If you are really that worried about a few kb you can always adblock the images or turn signatures off. Everyone seems to think we have a bunch of irresponsible idiots in here or something... I don't know about you but I'm not about to use "long cat" as my sig or anything...

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Cool headlight idea

My only suggestion would be to make the play area bigger so you can do some real driving... also play with the car movment variables so you can get a bit of power slide happening when you turn hard and floor it

    Nice artwork by the way

  • Looks good deadeye! Runs fine for me as well, even on the laptop. I added an event in there so I could add more water and even if i overflow the bucket its still great.

Just need a way to make the water "flow" around itself instead of sitting there like a bunch of blue balls... hmmm I wonder...

    Also, welcome 6Fix

  • I just tried it, and it's fine... though for some reason you can no longer push the "box" object if it stops moving for some weird reason... other than that it works perfectly.

  • Hey Ashley... not sure if it's because it's turned off/not allowed or whatever, but if I try to put an image in my signature it gives me an error message along the lines of "Cannot determine image dimensions".

Is there any chance of allowing images in signatures? I've been feeling kind of siggy-creative lately and, even though my sig has been "signatures suck" for so long... I kinda feel like using something creative!

Well fine then mr. fancy computer pants

Computer... pants.... that would be freakin' AWESOME! I guess you would unzip the front to access the hard drive? Hmmm, it better come preinstalled with WinZip or something then... otherwise you'd be in trouble when you had to defrag.

  • Keep in mind, I drew this with a $15 mouse on a crappy-ass computer... hopefully this is the style of ship you are after at least... I can clean it up later and add side and top views etc. Let me know what you think.
