  • i got a problem with the wav, construc gave me an error message at runtime.

-Resource file: 's1.wav could not be found; do you want to search for it?

-Resource file: 's2.wav could not be found; do you want to search for it?

-Resource file: 'MYMIDI03.MID could not be found; do you want to search for it?

except for that, that look cool.

Yeah I get the same errors, but the game still runs afterwards if you just ignore them all. I guess he has some externally linked files.

  • "of course the quality would be determined by how well i boned her body and how well I rotated her limbs"

tsk tsk tsk, and i thought you were a nice guy...

I'm SO tempted to quote that for my sig... but then I'll lose my image xD

  • I'm guessing the castle will be destructible (perhaps with some physics behaviour) and the men will get squished/eaten etc? Kind of like the old Rampage game, but better?

  • LOL the fish is a bit random xD

This is exactly how I have broken down my character for bones. Every joint needs to be "severed" and made into a seperate object. Nice find man!

  • Nice work newt. The proof of concept is really cool, that little tank that follows you around to kill stuff is neat. It's pretty buggy but that's to be expected from an early test build.

My only crit is that the units are very tiny, making them a little larger would allow you to make them look nicer, but meh it's not really all that important. Gameplay comes first... graphics last IMO.

  • I like the idea a lot

The only thing I can suggest which would make it a little more tacitcal would be to have the remaining skulls "drop" and fill up the empty gaps. This would, of course, make it pretty much the same as bejeweled but with skulls... but that's awesome

  • Ah glad you got that sorted out.

I was meaning to come back and check for a reply eariler but I have been rather busy with "family" stuff over the last day or two.

If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask... everyone here is pretty keen to help out.

  • Well I've been told you are only as old as the way you behave... therefore I'm 3.

  • Yeah even the older E3 footage of this game from like 2-3 years ago still looks great. Even though I don't own a PS3, everyone else I know does, so I'll probably be buying this game when it comes out and go play it on oneof my friends PS3's. xD

  • Here it is. It's under the animation event sheet.

When I open the event sheet in the latest version, I get some kind of error along the lines of "An invalid event was refrenced" or something like that. I basically can't scroll down or anything, and I can only see the first 6-8 events listed.

You may have to update, and then go through deleting or disabling events one by one until it works before I'll be able to help... or maybe Ash/Dave/Rich can test it out for you in debug mode?
