  • Welcome to the boards

If you need anything, don't be afraid to sing out. Everyone here is pretty keen to help when they can (as I'm sure you will see).

Look forward to seeing what you can do with Construct... we have so many different brains here, there is always something new and interesting popping up.

    Good luck!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • There are simple tutorials you can follow on YouTube to get a Wii remote to work on your computer and function as your mouse... there's nothing special about it, though interfacing it properly with Construct is totally awesome

  • This is a fad at school. I know tons of people that play against each other during classes.

I, myself, never really got into it. I just watch.

A fad in school eh? The game we used to get into back in school was Scorched Earth (the original)... I reckon that Pocket Tanks is a more balanced and more fun game.

  • OMG Deadeye that was soooooooooo bad hahahaha xD

One day Bill complained to his friend, "My elbow really hurts, I guess I should see a doctor."

His friend offered, "Don't do that. There's a computer at the drug store that can diagnose anything quicker an cheaper than a doctor. Simply put in a sample of your urine and the computer will diagnose your problem and tell you what you can do about it. It only costs $10."

Bill figured he had nothing to lose, so he filled a jar with a urine sample and went to the drug store. Finding the computer, he poured in the sample and deposited the $10. The computer started making some noise and various lights started flashing. After a brief pause out popped a small slip of paper on which was printed: You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water. Avoid heavy lifting. It will be better in two weeks.

Late that evening while thinking how amazing this new technology was and how it would change medical science forever, he began to wonder if this machine could be fooled. He decided to give it a try. He mixed together some tap water, a stool sample from his dog and urine samples from his wife and daughter. To top it off, he masturbated into the concoction.

He went back to the drug store, located the machine, poured in the sample and deposited the $10. The computer again made the usual noise and printed out the following message:

Your tap water is too hard. Get a water softener. Your dog has worms. Get him vitamins. Your daughter is using cocaine. Put her in a rehabilitation clinic. Your wife is pregnant with twin girls. They aren't yours. Get a lawyer. And if you don't stop jerking off, your tennis elbow will never get better.

  • Awesome game is awesome.

    POCKET TANKS WEBSITE

If you have not played it, I highly recommend that you do. For anyone that has it already, post here. I am keen to set up a Hamachi server so we can play vs. match over "LAN".

  • Stock images can be used for inspiration, cut up and Photoshopped for other purposes like title screens etc, or used for reference when drawing or modelling. I use them often for the latter, because it helps when you are trying to draw something you aren't all that familiar with on a detailed level.

Anyway, here is my favourite stock image site: INMAGINE

Here is a totally free site: FREE IMAGES. There aren't as many as Inmagine, but they are unmarked med-res photos... approx 3000 in total in various categories.

Last but not least we have EVERY STOCK PHOTO which is a free stock image search engine.

    Have fun!

  • I found a FREE SOUND EFFECTS website which is more of a site index for other sound sites. Quite a lot of them are royalty free (some free ones are for non-commercial use only though), while others you have to pay for.

I've had a trudge around the site fairly quickly, but it looks like there are a lot of sound effects etc that could be very handy.

  • Do any of them do seamless tiling textures? They're always good to pop in to tiled background.

Most of them, no... you have to tile them yourself which isn't all that hard to do if you use Photoshop a bit.

If there is something in particular you want to have tiled then send me the link and I'll tile it up for you Ash.

  • How do you know if your wife is dead??

Sex is still exactly the same, but the washing is piling up.
