  • Snooba - are you trying to call any specific functions before Clay.io is ready (a separate condition)? This might happen if you try calling the player login before the plugin has loaded (player login is actually called at the beginning if the player is logged out regardless)

Great thanks! It;s odd that it didn't fire an error until I updated C2, but yeah, adding the "Clay.io is ready" condition fixed everything :)

    /hugs

  • After updating to the latest version of C2, I am getting this error:

    Javascript error!

    TypeError: Clay.Player is undefined

    localhost/Clay_plugin.js, line 1156 (col undefined)

I re downloaded the plugin just in case, but the error remains. :(

  • Fixing the keyboard controls, they somehow explode after two levels...new version going up now XD

  • New version uploaded! This one has keyboard controls now (arrow keys and wasd), and you should only be prompted to log once, and not every time you get to the start screen.

As for the ships, the hardest part was coming up with a design that I liked, after that, the actual making of the ships in Photoshop was no more than 15 minutes each.

  • Mostly trying to fix Clay.io login issues now. I need to force people to log on code, as the option to do so in the Clay.io settings is not doing anything (the one that asks the user to log if he is not).

So I'll be uploading revisions like mad today =P

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Graphics are all mine (is what I do for a living XD).

Music is by Ozzed (I love his stuff), and soundFX are a mix and remix of the sound FXs you get when you buy C2.

I also used this for most of the laser fire sounds:

    superflashbros.net/as3sfxr

And then processing them again inside Audacity.

If you think stage 1-2 is hard, you need to check the bosses =P

    Glad you like it!

I'll add keyboard controls in my next revision :)

  • After banging my head against the keyboard in despair for a few weeks, its finally done, up and running.

Its a vertical shooter, which I started after poking around with the template that comes with C2. I have to give a huge THANK YOU to whoever designed those templates, it's a lot easier to start when you have a good example in front of you :)

    clay.io/game/spacebaseace

    Hope you like it!

    Cheers!

  • This is from my first C2 game, Space Base Ace, which is like, 77% complete. It's a classic vertical shooter :)

It was created with iOS/Android in mind (already has the devices aspect ratio), but I will put it up on marketJS and see what comes of it.

  • Hi Snooba, where abouts are you based? We have some paid 3D work coming up - not sure if you're interested. We could even offer C2 services in exchange.

We can probably arrange something, yes :)

I am sending you a PM.

  • Hi Snooba, can you please give us a link to your portfolio and provide some more details on your proposed projects?

Hey EyeHawk, here is a link to my portfolio: snooba.weebly.com

As for the projects, I would rather talk about those in private, but there is a bit of everything <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Since you worked on AAA games, I wouldn't have thought you'd find it hard to find a decent programmer, but good luck!

You would think so...I did too...it turns out it's a lot harder than what it seemed at first. Most of the ones I know are either on their own projects, or just way too busy with their regular work.

  • Hi, I am a CG artist, and I am looking for a Scirra 2 programmer so we can start a few projects. I work at a game studio, and have a few AAA games under the belt, but I have been unlucky in my hunt for a programmer <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

While I will still be working at my main job, I always wanted to start my "own thing", and this little tool let's me do just that <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

The idea is to drop games into every single platform, focusing specially in Facebook and Apple store (so you must have Apple hardware to test things on).

Whatever income is made (Facebook adds, etc), is split 50-50.

If anyone feels interested, drop me a PM and we'll take it from there.

    Cheers!
