    Thanx for the advice.

    Once i have a good functioning gamepad i'l program it into the game.

    And when i do il try to make a button configuration screen so people can configure their own gamepad.

  • You can set the window size of the project in the (project settings) area on the left side in the editor.

    But in order to see that specific screen, you first need to click on your project folder on the right side of the screen.

    So click on the right in the project window on the top folder.

    Then you see on the left side a change in the editor.

    It now says Project settings.

    There u can set your window size.

    The window size is different from the layout size.

    This way u can see a small or large (user defined) part of a layout.

    To make the layout itself larger, you just click in the gray area in the editor, and then the (project settings) window changes into the layout properties window.

    If however in the future u want a small (view) window in your game and a big layout.

    Then scrolling is the answer.

    Thought this was wat u were searching for.

    Ps:

    U can add links to your posts and replies.

    So people can have direct acces to your (in dropbox) uploaded Capx.

  • Im not shure either.

    I programmed it so that when the textbox was filled in and a button was pressed, the textbox was set to be disabled.

    And the game would start.

    It did disable and the textbox did not recieve any more text.

    But after that the keyboard was ignored completely.

    I cant really tell u more than that.

    For my usage at this point it doesnt really matter anymore, because i programmed a different way of inputting the amount of laps.

    If however in the future i might stumble uppon the solution to this, i'l share it with u.

    Thanx for the time to be of assistance everyone.

    I checked it in a old backup, but the result was the same.

    Thanx for the tip, it is helpfull for the future when i need to set one to integer!

  • This is really nice!

    Im not the one who has suggestions but i liked to play it!

  • Demo has got a little update.

    I updated the cars collision.

    Cars now only slow down when colliding, but dont get knocked out of the way.

    This enshures the player to be able to have a fun race where he can maintain top speeds when he learned to control the car.

    When Computer players slow down a bit when u hit use it as an advantage.

    Having full on collisions is one thing, But having fun while racing is the best thing to achieve.

  • I managed to pass around the problem by not using the textbox for the lap input.

    I did some research, and found that when the variable was set to (system --> set laps to Textbox.text) and the game started, that only then the keyboard did not react anymore.

    When the variable was set through system --> set laps to 3, and the race started everything worked.

    Strange but not a problem anymore.

    Thanx for your help.

  • Hi

    I installed R82 and for some reason the keyboard works fine in the menu, but when i start the race the keyboard has no input anymore?

    U can try the CapX

    The race controls are

    R = Acceleration

    Space = Brakes

    Arrow Left =Left

    Arrow Right = Right

    C = Camera to follow other players

    P = Helicopter View

    I could swich back to R80.2

    But if there is a work around then i like to try that first.

    Thanx for the help!

  • Colour it certainly needs!

    And plenty of it <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    And nice that it works for u now.
