  • C2 IS a game-making tool. Powerful, yes, but every game maker (pun intended) out there has it's limitations. Scirra is doing great job for such a small company, especially with all the latest betas.

My advice to you Konidias - learn to code. It would solve all your problems. C2 is not for everyone - it has it's pros and cons.

  • Hey, nice work. Keep it up.

  • Very nice and coherent art style! Good luck with the game.

  • Okay, I updated the CocoonJS app and now everything works like a charm.

  • Hmm. Now that you asked, it may be an older version on the iPad. I'll have to check that. Thank you for the quick reply!

  • Hey guys! Anyone else having problems with iPad 3, CocoonJS and C2?

I'm getting a black screen showing only the FPS debug console, no matter what the project I'm exporting. I've tried the native resolution 2048 x 1536 with and without fullscreen set to scale and also 1024 x 768 with and without scaling with no luck. I'm using a personal license release 116 (64 bit).

    The CocoonJS log:

<font size="2">Exception evaluating JavaScript: DOM Exception 8. Calling appendChild with null value.

    Not implemented createElement: screencanvas

    Evaluate Javascript from file c2runtime.js

    Updated screen size: 1024 768

    </font>

This happens with every project of mine and also when using this FPS-test capx I found: construct.net/en

The same projects work flawlessly with iPhone 4 and CocoonJS.

    Anyone got any ideas?

  • I've been getting 30-45 fps (with iPhone 4) with a test shmup I'm making with C2 and CocoonJS. Then again, I try to optimise everything very carefully. It seems that almost all physics-based games are no-go at the moment. Let's hope things get better soon!

  • Wow, nice. Gongratulations!

  • Try Construct 3

  • I think the reason why many developers still prefer iOS is that the testing is easier, because there aren't myriad devices to test on.

  • Thank you very much!

  • Just want to voice my support - stellar graphics! Music fits the mood, too. Keep it up!

  • Wow! Nice graphics. Your whole project has really professional and polished feel. Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks for the links, Ashley! Man, I honestly can't think of a company with better customer service.

(psst, you can send me the check with agreed amount by mail)

  • Well, this certainly looks promising. I'll be trying Spriter as soon as it's available!

Ok, maybe I misread/misunderstood the rules. It seems C2.cap counts as a code you can publish? I stand corrected.

    Good luck everyone!
