  • Quick question: What does Letterbox Integer scale by when you resize the window under its minimum resolution?

  • I found how to do it in C2. Browser.platform was what I was looking for.

  • Either through html or the game itself. The client I'm working with is having issues running different versions of our game on their site. Letterbox scale seems to be better for desktop and integer scale works better for iPad and android. Neither seem to be working for iPhones. You guys have any ideas on how I can dynamically handle this? Is it possible to display different iframe content for desktop and mobile? And even further, is it possible to distinguish between iPad and iPhone?

  • Anyone??

  • Try Construct 3

  • I gave them an Outer Scale to try and it still has the exact same issue. I really am at a loss for what to do here.

  • Nope. I've added a version of the capx to the OP

  • I have it set to letterbox scale

  • Hey guys, sorry for the urgency but my partner just launched a game I built for them and it's broken on mobile! The game works fine in a page on its own but break's in the iframe on their mobile site.

[quote:2uxc21y1] The canvas size of the site and the canvas size you are specifying for the game are in conflict.

Enclosed an example of what it is doing on an ipad. The game continually attempts to reload and resize itself within the site. Almost looks like an animation as it stutters trying to decide on a size.

Edit: Current version at the link is a broken Outer Scale version I gave them to try, but it has the same issue on mobile.

  • I am working with a partner and as we're about to launch our game, we're running into issues with the game not resizing in the iframe of the website in mobile browsers. Also the header of the website causes the game to be pushed down, which leaves the bottom of the game cut off, but because the game is as wide as the screen, there is no way to scroll down the page. Help! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • 100 opacity and visible, it happens no matter what layer or layout

  • Just checked and my layers are as you said they should be. I never changed any of their properties. I just tried changing 0 transparent and back but still having this issue.

  • At some point during my last few revisions, the webpage for my game turned white. This occurs when testing as well as exporting. The page starts out with the normal black color, but once the game is loaded it turns white. Is there a setting for this I unknowingly changed?

  • Hey guys, sorry I'm a noob with web stuff and I'm working with someone developing a game meant to be played on web and mobile. My partner is working on the website end and currently has the game in a div on their website, and it seems to work fine except for sound. On the mobile version of their site however, the website totally breaks when it loads the game. Links no longer work and you can't scroll down to view the game.

Is there a process I'm not following for properly having your game playable in a website on both desktop and mobile? Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

  • I am having this exact issue with a current project I am working on. The game runs fine on desktop but the webpage completely freezes on mobile. Was there ever a solution to this?

  • Problem Description

My partner is trying to host our game on a website and is having difficulties. After trying to export multiple versions, it appears that Construct 2 is not exporting the Embed style appropriately. The export does not align top left, there's no noticeable different in the html, and its having issues with my partner's website. They described the issue to me like this

[quote:22lg6g1w]The issue I am running into is that the game is centering on the window size, not my site containing div.

It looks like the js is minified so wondering if you would be able to adjust to center to my parent div (<div id="bagGameContent"> )?
