For me, my game is working great with the OUYA. I'm using phonegap since the ability to make a controller plugin is what i need. I don't think Cocoonjs allows this, but i never looked.

Currently the OUYA only recognizes Left, Right, Up, Down, and Return from the controller for HTML5 games. To use all of the buttons and to allow multiple controllers at once, a phonegap plugin is needed.

Any luck with that phonegap controller plugin? I just don't want to re-invent the wheel if you already made one.

All i did was put the APK file on my website and then with the browser i downloaded to the OUYA. I then went to dev->software->downloads in the menu and selected the APK. At this point it installs and when you go back to the software menu your app is there.

  • I would not worry. My pathetic little game that was built with phonegap and is multiplayer works great. I still need to add FPS to the display to see what its really doing, but it appears to be running fine. I'm going to try cocoonjs next and should see even better performance.

I would like to know how you implement the controls of the controller. So far i have have had no time to mess around with it.

Let me know if you need any testing done with your phonegap plugin. I just signed up for the phonegap service and I made my latest game a android apk.

  • Well it came and there is not much to do with it yet but to just set it up. The controller does have a touch pad which makes the mouse cursor show on the screen.

What i did do is test my multiplayer ajax game on it with the bultin browser and it worked great. I will try to post a video of the game with the fps showing.

    So far i like it.

Is that a question? It has not arrived yet.

  • I should have my Ouya Today according to the DHL tracking number. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

  • I put

    header('Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *');

at the top of my php file and it works with Chrome and Firefox, but not IE9. Is there anything else i need to do to make it work with IE9?

  • I will pledge money for your game, IT LOOKS AMAZING!!!

Yes, I'll look into it. Should be easy.

I just added what you want.

Let me know if there are any bugs.

  • I don't think the controller integration will be to hard. It might be as simple as each button corresponds to a key on the keyboard. I really don't know.

  • I will get it January 11. Has anybody else got the email?

<font color=red>UPDATE</font> I should be getting the OUYA today 3rd of January. Does anybody have any apk files of there construct 2 games. I know there will be issues with controlling the game, but its a start.

  • I'm glad its being used. Just let me know if there are any bugs
