  Yes, I modified the SOL of the family if user used the action which had family parameter. You could use the other one action which did not have the family parameter. However, it would not pick the created instance.

  The solution was, user might use "condition:on create" to do something after creating instance.

  The limitation comes from C2 editor. As you said, user need to replace the " to ', or replace " to "" (double ").

  You should not remove all tile background instances from layout editor. Leave one tile background instance and it will work fine.

  I found a similar plugin in Construct Class (not C2) named "layout", it could "embed or show other layouts in the same application".

  Sorry, the layout2board plugin might not be suitable for hex grid, because that each hex tile need to put at the right position.

  You might create the hex tiles at runtime.
