  • Thanks for the reply, and that's a very interesting video, but I personally can't see a different control scheme for this kind of game other than a joypad.

    A lot of food for thought for the next game, though <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hey all, here's the demo for my first "proper" Construct 2 game. I'm aiming for a space shooter/RPG type game, and while this demo is very basic, I think I've got 90% of the framework down for the full game.

    <img src="http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/8540/nvip.png" border="0" />

    DOWNLOAD: dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/28499111/SpaceGameDemo.apk

    To install: You need to enable your phone to install apps from sources other than the Play Store. Download apk, and install.

    To Do:

    Levelling system

    XP bar

    Somehow adjust HUD to resize to any screen size (it works great on an S3 though)

    Different types of quests

    If you find any bugs or have any feedback, it's all appreciated!! <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Fantastic! You've sorted it!

    Remind me I owe you a beer <img src="smileys/smiley41.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hi all, having some trouble with my bullet sprites. For some reason, a few will spawn in the perfect place at imagepoint 1, but every 9th or 10th bullet will spawn slightly to the left, making it look as if it's coming from the shield.

    Believe me, I've tried everything I can think of to fix but I'm stumped.

    I've increased the rate of fire so you can see it a little easier. Here's the capx: dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/28499111/shootproblem.capx

    Any help appreciated! <img src="smileys/smiley42.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Can't believe I didn't think of that...

    You sir, are a genius! Thanks! <img src="smileys/smiley41.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I really hate bumping my own topics but I really need advice on this one!

    Tried everything I can think of but the blips won't become invisible when they're not overlapping the radar sprite...

  • Hi all, having a bit of trouble with my radar.

    Followed the tutorial here: scirra.com/tutorials/559/making-a-radar But the enemy blips are not staying confined to the radar screen.

    Had a good search of the forums but I seem to be the only person with this problem.... <img src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Any help appreciated!

  • Here's a screenshot from my untitled space RPG:

    <img src="http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/8540/nvip.png" border="0" />

    It's still in VERY early development so only a few minutes of gameplay, but it's coming along well <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • If I've understood your needs, this might work:<img src="http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/9086/0u49.jpg" border="0" />

    Works for me, at least

  • Hi, I'm ReanimatedNerd (mis-spelled my username when registering... ha) I'm 28 from Swansea, UK. Really into RPG's, and hoping to make a decent game for Android.

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Glad I could help <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    For those who don't wanna download the .capx, my fix was this:

    Give the enemy the "Custom Movement" behaviour, and set an event

    "Enemy - On collision with: Enemy - Enemy - Push out solid - Nearest"

    <img src="http://imageshack.us/a/img600/415/gjrz.jpg" border="0" />

    Don't know if it fully fixes the problem, but hopefully it'll help.

  • Kuzyn This seems to work: dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/28499111/overlap%20fix.capx

    Hope this helps <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Kuzyn Can you upload your .capx so I can have a play around, see if I can find a solution? <img src="smileys/smiley25.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I use bullet behavior combined with turret and I get very similar movement to yours, I'd personally try that.

    No experience with pathfinding though, so can't help there <img src="smileys/smiley6.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Have you tried this?

    <img src="http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/8870/3hs3.jpg" border="0" />

    Seems to work for me but they need bullet behavior. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
