  • New changes:

    Added a boss and a special ability for it. Added a bit of story to go with it.

    It doesn't sound like a lot, but it's hard to go into detail without spoiling the plot line :)

    I might post a teaser video once I have the first 5 levels or so done.

  • One more thing, I would love to have someone who could make assets for me so I can focus on the coding. I need someone who can make story drawings, someone who could make actual game assets, and maybe someone who could make sound effects / game music.

    - However, this game will be free, so I won't be paying you.

    Just so you all know, I only have 27 days left before my license expires, which is the reason I just don't have the time to make these.

    Here are some of the mechanics I am working on:

    ADDED:

    Assassin (enemy) is invisible until you are close to it

    Archer (also an enemy) can shoot at a distance or attack close range

    UI bar - shows what staff you currently have in possession

    Player regenerates health over time if they are still

    CHANGED:

    Enemy xp amounts so they give the player a more accurate amount of xp for defeating the enemy

    I am trying to call values from a dictionary to keep my player variables from level to level. However, they seem to be getting lost along the way. I debugged it and found out that it is saving values to the dictionary fine, but it will not retrieve them.

    I decided to start a devlog for my game (probably more to keep me making this game and not getting 'sidetracked' with other ideas, because I only have until June something to get this done)

    I will post what I have been doing every couple of times I've worked on this. If I have any questions, I will post them in the 'How Do I' section but also post a link to the topic here.

  • Ok, starting making it now. The plot line naix3l gave is what I'm going to roll with, almost unchanged but also adding some more material. I'm starting a dev log in the 'Show Your Creations' section if you would like to follow the development of this game.

  • Hello everyone! Encountered several bugs when working on multiplayer game:

    1: Host doesn't move

    2: Peers wont move correctly (open the c3p file and you will see what I mean)

    3: Peers can't see other peer's chat messages, only the host can

  • Hi! I don't know how much of an in-depth story you want to go with, if there will be a massive focus on it or if it'll be more of a minimal thing but since they start off in a prison cell dungeon type thing, both your characters could be criminals or something along those lines, and you could do a something where they're put in a situation where they have to fight against other criminals who were also put in the dungeon, all after the same thing, and whoever makes it out alive with their cellmate/partner and the staff gets guaranteed freedom. It might sound silly I think but maybe if done right with stuff like deep lore and moral choices with the characters being criminals and all it could be really, really interesting

    Any idea is a good idea when you have no ideas...

    Thank you for taking time to think of this! I am going to wait a couple more days to see if anyone else has anything before starting on this one.

  • Remove the pick all, I don't think you need it. Maybe add a 'trigger once while true' condition as well to each of those too if you don't want them moving to layer 0 and setting themselves visible every tick.

    I just wanted to share my latest creation (I made it cause I was bored)

    I have already created this in scratch.mit.edu but it turns out it is A LOT easier in C3.
