  Use floor(random(4)) to remove the decimal part.

  Yeah the text is messed up in r100. It's fine in r99. By the way you can install multiple releases side by side (in different folders obviously). Just decline when it asks you if you want to uninstall the older version. At the moment I have r95, r99 and r100 installed.

  Use a limited revolute joint with the lower/upper angles set to -90/90, say. Disable physics collisions between the rope and helicopter/magnet. And use 'apply torque' to rotate the helicopter.

  Your operator variable is a number and it should be text. Also you have "x" for multiplication but then in event 6, if operator = "*".

  C2 crashes when I try to duplicate a frame, every time, even in a new project.

  Create project, insert sprite, right-click on animation frame 0, duplicate frame, "Construct 2 has stopped working".

  Win 7, Radeon HD5750, latest drivers, no problem in r95.

  I see it's confusing because I wrote "Let's create an array..." and "Let's set the value...", which suggests that I want the reader to follow along in C2. But that wasn't my intention. I wanted the reader to just read the tutorial and the screenshots are there to illustrate what I'm talking about. I never imagined you would actually create an array called animals and set the first value to "cat". It was just an example, you know? That's why I didn't mention adding the array plugin or creating a condition. The answer to "where do I add that action?" is: anywhere you want. On start of layout, mouse click, every tick... it depends on your project and what you want to use the array for. But I can see where the confusion comes from.

  Happens in Firefox too. That's very strange, how would going back in the browser affect your game? Does it happen in preview as well?
