RacerBG's Forum Posts

• A while ago I reported a few problems with the site (including this one) and today I came here again to see what has changed... A lot! I reported a few things and I'm glad to see that everything is fixed BUT the Store section still isn't!

Any progress on the Store or when we can expect the new design there?

• That's good news because I though that he just forgot about this stuff.

• Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
• For example when you are looking to the profiles of the other forum users and when you are editing your profile. Also in the Store the look is still unchanged.

I had wrote about this months ago but in the off topic section, looks like nobody noticed it.

• Get a better os. Construct is never coming to linux. Get wine.

That is a real "community friendly" answer. At least they can port C2 to Linux.

• Very interesting... Looks like you can make Facebook games but you can't make PC games (non Windows 8 games). What a decision is that? It would be really cool if you can make PC games with the FREE edition, this will not hurt you Scirra!

• Well it was not on my taste to see that Construct Classic was totally abandoned but hopefully this could help you to improve Construct 2 further. But I hope that you will really keep Construct Classic at Sourceforge and not delete it.

Anyway your job on the main site is also great! Now the whole site is ALMOST perfect!

Almost because the "Store" section still have the old look and feel. You should improve it too.

When you are going to the "My Profile" or "Edit Profile" options is the same...

No other complains at all, great job!

• It's time to move on then...

• I had readed that C2 have already export for Linux I don't know is this is true or false but Im positive. Anyway My question here regards to the program itself. Linux port will be awesome and the main formats for it can be .deb and .rpm.

Also I think Mac port will be okay too...

• There aren't many ways to enforce that even if it did make sense. Personally I think C2 is dirt cheap for what it is, especially during the early adopter period which lasted for mooonths. If not, well, wait until a competition I guess, licenses are given out all the time. If not, well, suck it up and spend a little money XD GM is charging like $150 just for a single exporter and I hear they're buggy as ever.

With exporter to PC and with full features - $39.99 (this is the old version 8.1). With it you can make masterpriece games if you have the skills of course.

The newly Studio Standart version with exporters to Mac and PC - $49.99.

The Professional version which have half of the available exports remaining is 99.99$.

The Master version with all exporters is 499.99$ which is cheaper than buying Studio Standart + all the exporters or Professional + the exporters.

If you talk about the exporters alone - yes they're expensive from 99.99$ to 199.99$. That's why there exists Professional and Master editions.

• I have to admit, this thread gave me a much better impression of C2 than I had before.

However, I still think that the Personal Edition is overpriced.

+1 for this. 99 Euro a a little too much. Maybe something like 50 Euro will be very fair and good price for everyone.

• Yeah, I like C2 but the biggest drop back is the lack of OS specific support. Web browsing is not the future and reality just yet...

• Been away for a while. Great progress guys! Excellent news is the new stable release also the new year and your great progress in the lats year. What to say... Have a nice new year and I hope we will see r200 this year!

• Good job for Scirra. This time there are not many releases but r100 is a big fish so well done.

• RacerBG have you tried the Game Maker free version? I hope you don't need to rotate your sprites!

Rotating s;rites is very easy but I don't know about the Lite version. I have the Pro version and at all I can do everything (my knowledge is my only limiter).

• Im making games ONLY under the GNU license. In other words - I will never make shareware games. Im strong supporter for the free software on the net, that's why by the way Im here. When r100 is released I will download it for sure just to see what I will be able to do. By the way compared to the other game makers, C2 have good amount of freedom in the free edition (the only thing that seems bad for me are the new prizes because for 2D only maker this seems a lot). Well someday I can try to participate in competition and we will see what will happen. But if C2 becomes even greater and I hope with less prizes someday (100% guaranteed I will buy it). The reasons why Im not doing it now are financial, the HTML thing and also Im not sure of it's future.
