    many of you have probably seen davio and i's sigs and asked "WTF is the whine engine".To clear things up, its a game me and my brother are working on, a zombie game. itll feature all kinds of crazy stuff like procedural walking, fist fighting/pistol whipping with analogue controls, destructible environments, destructible zombies (hehe, you hear me) and perhaps even a procedural world generator so that each of your playthroughs are varied and different, really cool blood spattering, and of course a large variety of weapons.

    its a very new project, and we havent decided on everything to be included yet. Which means features will be added and removed as we go along.

  • ive never been limited by using only events, and i have made some pretty complicated things, dont feel that because you cant do something its eventing thats holding you back, think about the solution because its 95% possible using the current system.

  • my site was made on the most limited space, so thats why its a lil add-ish i didnt have room to fit anything else.

    i didnt know what exactly was wanted in terms of size so i went with a small single screener, everythings cramped up so it looks like an add yes, i can modify it to look better.

    as for the Construct thing, i could perhaps lower the c gear down a bit, i dont think i did any better or worse job than anyone else when you compare it to alees Cconstruct, or megas weird gear ect.

    im going to edit my page later and repost it with proper modifications

  • Thanks deadeye, I didn't think about the minimum fps with override timedelta still checked approach. I'm just wondering how it will play on different computers. Plus, since i dont use timedelta in my code (because its for a fixed rate), i'm wondering how the game will play on pc's with a higher rate than 60.

  • 640x480 is the size most suitable for a windowed game, stretching that over fullscreen is fine and will look fine. 1024 is wayyy to big for a casual game, a hwa game is gonna lag on a weak card at that res. 800 is what you'd use for a game that you want to be big. 800x600 at fullscreen is what i think world of goo runs at. it may even be 640x480.

  • yesterday we had a one hour compo, about jetpacks. i made this game, but i couldnt add a few features because i ran out of time, this is a better version, with sounds, better effects, music, and levels as time progresses.

    its extremely hard

  • it seems focused on online games, MAEK ONLINE PLUGIN DAMNIT!

    it probably wont contain the same amount of power as construct has, in terms of DX9 stuff, fast engine, ect. i havent seen a gamemaker which comes close to the speed of construct, and i dont think i will for a while.

    black crystal is kind of a silly name for a gamemaker, it doesnt even having anything to do with creation.

    it looks extremely new so i can't really say anything else about it.
