  • Learning by accident. Awesome ;p

  • Yeah you need to "tempt" people to donate. Put up as much as you possibly can. People need to believe in you as much as your project. End of the day, if you don't give too much, then in their eyes (imo) you're not that bothered. I'm just offering advice based on what I've learned by looking at many many donation based games.

One thing I have noticed is that people are now becoming wary of projects that could possibly be abandoned. You need to show them otherwise ;)

  • Miyavi, ahh now I learned something new ;p

  • 404

I don't have a touch screen device so I wouldn't be able to test sorry.

  • Ahh I think I was thinking of Construct Classic then. Haven't used audio in C2 yet. I'll see tomorrow what I can come up with if no one else has.

  • Nice animation describing your problem. It's too fast though. All my tipsy mind can see are sexual innuendos ;)

Yes you'll need math to do this (unless there's an orbit plugin for C2). I know how to do it, but my mind has shut down for the night to anything math related. If no one else has solved it, I'll have a bash tomorrow.

  • Put yourself in a would-be donator's place. What would motivate you to part with your hard earned cash? Remember, getting someone to donate is basically selling your idea to them. The more you give, the more likely they'll give. Good luck!

  • That's the thing, overlapping isn't a collision per se. It's more of a pre-collision thing. If you've ever messed about with arrays and tiles, then it's the same as that. Basically checking for adjacent tiles, but in the case with overlapping, it's pixels.

  • Kyatric is right, and I don't really know why I didn't think. Particles are just so nice for explosions. Well, at least you know about the awesome Canvas plugin now ;)

  • Also, people will most likely have encountered the same problem, so will have the answers. Sometimes it's not worth trying to reinvent the wheel 1000 times ;p

  • Probably took you longer to ask than to try ;p Yeah can't see why it won't work. I mean, you're just checking for a collision about to happen, it's not like you're changing anything that will screw with the physics.

  • Don't thank me, thank r0j0hound who made it ;p

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Sometimes, if you don't ask, you'll never know! And some things can take too long trying to figure it out on your own. At least you may have learned something new for your future projects :)

  • Ah yeah soz, I was thinking of keyboard pausing. That's mostly what I'm used to. Yep disregard the canPauseUnpause crap ;)

  • Ah I didn't spot that. Was too busy spotting your other error ;)

    Glad you got it working!
