  • hi

I'm sure they will attack you, i remembered someone who attempted to

create street fighter (I think), with m.u.g.e.n and he mailed them and

    they refused.

also many examples of freeware fangames like street of rage and chrono crises, prevented to be released for the public due to copyright issue..

this just an examples for freeware projects, and for getting profits i'm afraid you will lead yourself into trouble with CAPCOM, perhaps you

can still make a clone game with megaman elements but different story

and characters, if you still love the idea.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Thank you all my friends for suggestions and comments <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

and I don't have problem to request a plugin from third party developers

for dialogues, thanks for remind me Kyatric, I will post the request

    soon.

  • Your story similar to my story, I tried to use renpy and novelty too,

also game maker in the past, but the dialogues always an issue with me

    with gamemaker :(

Renpy require a correct indention for each line and word, just one space

enough to broke your code (based on python)

so I still hope for a good support for dialogues in future updates,

not mentioning how dialogues would be useful for RPG genre too =D

  • Thanks for the feedback, I hope the capx will benefit you =D

C2 is awesome for designers and artists, and of course story teller too,

if their an easy way for making dialogue hopeffuly in future, I'm sure

lemma-soft will drop out Renpy XD (joking)

  • Hello my friends, here my attempt to make a visual novel with Construct 2

    Subscribe to Construct videos now

    Capx Link

the only hard part, was making the dialogue, using too much variables

wasn't comfortable or easy, i hope a new feature for dialogue behavior

would be added in the future updates.

making an HTML5 visual novel is fun and interesting, and this type of

games very common for anime fan and girls, which don't require fast

performance or any complex actions, which suit HTML5 and casual games

    very well :D.

note: I'm still novice with Construct 2, I didn't follow tutorials yet but

when I have time, sure I will imrpove my skills, I just love C2

  • Sense HTML5 already uploaded to your site, you can keep updating and overwrite the current folders and index.html, so when someone refresh the game page, he will get the new version for sure without need to download anything.

  • Wow, brilliant concept and nice graphics, it's just missing sounds and

    nice retro music :D

    keep it up <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • To Edit the Index.html more accurate and organized way

    I recommended you to use Notpad++ :

  • sent :)

  • I think asking for EXE exporter it's too early for C2, due c2 still get features from time to time, when C2 got must of features I think Ashley will able to create an official exe exporter easy later than now, which will make update have parallel works one for HTML5 and EXE, not mention fixing bugs for each of them ( double the works and slow C2 updates )

BTW: I still think getting an official EXE, more worth than HTML5 Wrapper one.

  • ODD THING !! I JUST CLOSED FIREFOX AND C2 NOW CAN CREATE/OPEN FILES JUST FINE ?

  • Hello, I just encountered an annoying bug after trying to import GMX project from gamemaker, which c2 failed and showed this image:

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/32615680/cr65.png" border="0" />

thing seem nature and related to GMX file, which i thought it may because GMX have special java extensions.

so I restarted C2 and try to create a new project also I tried to open ghost example, but still keep showing me the same image above.

I uninstall C2[r65] and reinstall it ,but the problem still present :(

NOTE: I still didn't restart my computer yet, but when I restart and C2 worked like before, i will inform you.

    my computer system: Vista (32-bit)

    thanks an advance

  • I think I read somewhere in the forum, Ashley stated it will be implemented in the future updates or in to-do lists for C2 =)

  • Hi

wish you all, a great times :D

  • Judging on this game based on the loading bar and the pixel arts, it's seem developed with flixel or Flash Punk.

and I think C2 can make it, with some efforts =)
