  • Tthe gameplay is solid, the storyline is excellent and its a fantastic game. Right now Iam just praying that whoever test it gives the game the go ahead to be featured. The game came out solid so now just waiting for it to appear on googleplay.

  • 1st learning the basics of local storage then you can use it. Look here

  • Ok cool I will post the capx file so you can look at it and also so you can see how to keep your project semi-organized to find the code your looking for

  • Got a rare chance to work on the game all day. Today I got a lot done but one thing is bothering me. I made the story tight and exciting so before every mission you get a cut scene telling more of the story. The problem is the game length is short not like the super long games you see in the appstore. I 'am trying to decide whether to rock out with what I have or tack on a bigger plot to my story and pump out more levels.

    This is the catch 22 thats killing me at the moment.

    Also what getting at me is lack of excitement for the game. I posted on other forum and video on youtube. Got a couple hundred views in the forums but only 25-30 on youtube. I put a lot into this game, its carefully crafted with attention to every detail to make game experience perfect while someone is playing it. I hope its enough to get looked at .

  • Yeah I read about it on Gamersultra pretty good numbers. I used to talk to those guys back in the day when they made whale trail and were just breaking even. Its great to see a fellow indie make it big. They have come a long way from then, that goes to show if you don't give up on your dream you can succeed with mobile apps.

  • I was wondering are you going to make this for mobile or no? Reason I asked is that I was going to make several games that hark back to nes or super nes days. I rather you come out with this ninja gaiden style game so I can jump on a proper castlevania or metroid style game in the future for android. We will be turning it into our dream device!!

  • saiyadjin I'am trying really hard to understand if your crazy or not. I will assume your not so answer one question. If the developers of Construct2 are working on Construct3 , why would they go through dismantling Construct2 to add in all these changes when they can apply them to C3?

  • It's probably easier to publish to the web (which runs on Chrome OS) than Android, so I'm not sure how compelling this really is. I guess if IAP/purchases work as well that could be interesting?

    Ashley I don't have a Chromebook but I was wondering can most Chromebook games work offline? I would think this is the only reason beside the IAP . If Chromebook games run offline then yes there is actually no reason to make a change that I can think of.

    Currently I'am working on a semi-large project and of course use save features to store information. The save feature basically saves the game whenever you beat a mission and it unlocks access to the next level. To make my life easier I have a global variable that is linked to a localstorage key. Both are linked to each sprite that represents my level selection menu.

    </br>

    Now for the bug in Construct2 that randomly occurs. I put the code in to each sprite that if the global variable = a certain amount that sprite changes animation, plus its unlocked. For some odd reason Construct2 changes my global variable code randomly to another global variable, so when I run the game the next level is not unlocked. At 1st I thought it was me but now its happened right in front of my face. I save the game and the code changes right after I saved. 1st time I saw it I was like what the fack LOL.

    </br>

    So if your save keys and variable somehow don't work, check over your code real quick before going nuts. It doesn't happen all the time but when making a large project it will start to happen, at least with me it does.

  • I like your enthusiasm and vigor a city/village type of game would take a long time to make and you need someone with experience. But you need more information in your post to get people to respond. like

    1) whats your timeline?

    2) How will they get paid?

    3) Is this just for PC or mobile devices too?

    4) Do you have money to market the game and if so how much?

    Of course you can tell them PM me for more details but experienced developers need more information than what your giving. I wish you the best and if you need advice just ask.

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I have good experience with android but never encountered this problem on any device I tested. On all samsung devices the buttons are displayed no problem, I think the buttons being covered is a rare problem thats why you didnt get any feedback.

    Test my game and see if the same thing happen's https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... power.kong

  • Exciting new Chromebook will be soon supporting android games and apps to run on them. Chromebook are basically mini-PC that run the chrome android operating system. Man this could be great news but we have to wait to see the spec's on it. Hopefully Construct2 games run on it with no problems.

  • Wenutz Game looks great I saw the video, however most mobile gamers don't buy games they download free games with ADs. The gamers that do buy games its from big companies like gameloft.

  • Ok I played your game more and its professional grade, you might have to change voice overs but not sound effects many games use the same sound effects. Also change the name too.

    Its a shame it doesn't work on mobile devices but we will figure that out. Meanwhile you need to get paid for your work so I think $2.99 - $4.99 price range is good.

    Steam is a bit tough to get on but try this place

    They got a couple of easy requirements and its faster to get on their store. After that you need to go on facebook join some indie game groups, retro game groups, and pc game groups. The retro game groups should be your highest target so join at least 5 of them to promote your game after its on sale.

  • PrinceofMars Just upload the plugins and that should be all I need to view the game.
