  • Just reading this again I am guessing you are not creating the coins at runtime...

if that's the case, and you don't have any performance worries then don't destroy them just set them invisible and deactivate collision detection then when continuing set them visible and reactivate collisions...

PS in most cases global objects are more hassle than they worth...

  • You could use a global variable call it continues if continuing add to that number...

then add condition continues greater than 0 create coins...

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • An easy way is just place them randomly, then do an overlap check and if overlapping destroy top instance

another way would be have two global variables plot them out and add to the variables in a loop...

  • I had a play at this, well done for a first game...

  • nemo More than 3 times is ok then...was getting worried, I may be normal...

  • if your floor is made of sprites giving a graphical representation of a slope then you can give the sprite a variable based on that angle...

so if your slope is 45 degrees set the variable to 45...

then you can set the players angle based on that variable when he is stood on it..

remembering that 0 degrees is to the right, imagine East on a compass so 45 degrees would be South East on a compass, you would have to do a calculation to get the correct angle...

  • mineet Blacksmith I've only been up 3 hours...give me time will ya?... <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • lol "blue blazes" Not heard that for donkeys..lol

GROM This is not a simple issue, and with no details of how this fits into your game, is virtually impossible to answer in any detail, you would have to narrow your question down and focus on a particular object doing a certain thing...

post a capx or screenshot of your events would help...

  • BurningWood Yeah we definitely need more RTS games, Thanks for your input, Great ideas there!

  • Patriick Your a star! excuse the pun!

No rush for the rest of the frames, I'm only just over a week into development,so plenty enough to juggle with, menus and unit movement are my current priority...

If you need any help with anything, feel free to PM or contact me via the forum...Thanks again.

  • Patriick Wow, yeah That's great!, I could see him fitting in very well, thank You...

As you say, not enough RTS or tactic based games at all on C2 as I've seen, and very few resources for this genre, especially from this perspective, I will be sure to keep you up on progress...

    Thanks again,
