    Hi!

I've had a similar problem (I wanted to trigger an animation on a Sprite when a collision happened), spent hours and finally did what you suggested (spawned another object). So thanks!

It really feels like a bug. If it's not I don't understand why you would have to find a "complicated" workaround for something that just should work (On collision=Play "" animation)!

    Anyway, thanks again :)

  • Man I feel so dumb.

    That totally works. Thanks!

  • Hello all,

I have this dumb problem that I can't solve. It must be easy but I can't see it

    . I have a box (Sprite), of which I made 3 instances.

. I want to have the box move up when I click on it.

. The trick is I want the boxes to move at different heights depending on which one I click.

Is it possible to do that (with UID or something else), or do I have to clone my sprite and create different events (for three different objects as opposed to three instances)?

I'm very new at all this, tried to look at examples and searched the forums, but didn't find much or nothing that was clear for me...

Thanks in advance for any sort of help!

  • Thank you all!!!!

I didn't know the Move To Object action had a Behind option...

Can anyone now point me now, on how I can get rid of the shadow when the dudes are falling (and back again when they're on the ground)?

I've tried a lot of stuff but it seems the For Each is messing my logics.

Plus I'm not that good at this pretty obviously

Thanks again and if anyone has pointers for my new problem, I'd be super grateful!

  • Hello all,

I hope someone will be able to help me. It kept me up all night.

    Please see the attached file.

In short I've attached shadow objects to my little (computer controlled) characters using a Spawn and Pin (if anyone has another way to do this by the way...). All is cool until I want those guys to go through an exit door. I've build a mask/sprite with a DestinationOut mode. Which works great with the Dudes... But not with the shadows!!!! They seem to be ignoring the mask and come in front every which way I try...

Also I'm trying to make the shadow fade off when they're falling and reappear when they land, but I can't get anything to work.

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

    Help.

Thanks in advance for any clue/hints/etc...

  • Yup. Happening here too!

  • Hi everyone!

Er I've bumped into a weird (maybe not) problem.

I've made a Sprite with a Physics Behavior. All is cool, it falls and collides with a ground Solid object.

Now I want the Sprite to change Size as it rolls on the ground but as soon as I put a Sine behavior (to have it grow), my Sprite looses apparently its Physics Behavior (it doesn't fall, it just stays there on screen with it's size pulsing).

As soon as I remove the Sine (or any Scale animation), it falls again on the ground as expected...

    Am I doing something wrong?

I want to have an animation of a snowball rolling (with Physics) and growing bigger as time passes.

    Please help....

    Thanks!!

  • Thanks Nate.

I have the same issue and solved it with your trick.

    Big bug though...

  • Same here!!!!

I thought it was just me. Whew.

    Please help!

  • Thanks!

  • Hello, not sure it's possible but it would greatly help me.

I've put a sprite on my layout (a hill a character is walking on), and stretched it non uniformly.

I'd like to export that scaled sprite to touch it up in Photoshop. Is there a way to do this? When I try exporting the sprite it's just my original (non stretched one).

Thanks for any help or pointers

    Piotr
