  • Also I link to the Australian side because for some reason the US side doesn't offer Paypal (those in the US that want to use Paypal). So the trick is to be on the Australian side so you can get to Paypal .

  • I found it very easy to get around and simple to use. I just know a lot of people be like they have to have Illustrator but miss other good tools thats less inexpensive. To me Adobe is like Jordon shoes, its price is all about name. I have never played with the animation and probably forgot about it doing that being that I used Anime Studio but have moved to Spriter for my 2D Work.

But there is a starter edition for people to give it a whirl that is 'free' (meaning some features may be disable but would let you feel the flow of the application)

I even use their PagePlus that is an alternative to InDesign. I love it (and got it for a nice discount when the soccer championship event was going on) <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy">

  • Hey guys,

I always see people posting about vector software and isn't fond of using Inkscape or MS Expression but wallets can't handle obtaining Adobe Illustrator. Serif has a nice vector package that is on sale. You can go with X6 for 39.99 or X5 for 29.99 and save 70% off. Before you buy there is a version for you to test out to check it out. Don't know how long the sale is going on but thought I would put it out there for those looking.

Maybe you should put your review site link in your forum signature. In you other post I had to find this thread to find you website address.

  • Not at a computer right now but have you tried instead of window width taking the viewport right hand side and dividing by 2? I think its something like viewport.right. That should give you the actual position.

  • He referring to thousands of dollars in software licenses like photoshop etc.

  • Sometimes you can just be burned out and stepping back from a project to breath helps. Forcing yourself can tend to make you overlook things cause you are rushing to be done and over with it. Breath, read a book, watch a movie take a few days of not even thinking about it. Or put the project on the back burner and mess with something else. There are numerous games that has been in development and progress has halted for a moment before it was worked on again (but don't have it on hold too long we all saw how Duke Nukem went). But forcing creativity never comes out the same as letting creativity just naturally flow. Sometimes it things we do in everyday life that can spark the motivation be it a new mechanic or whatever. So give your brain a break from it not thinking about it at all and maybe when you approach it again you will be looking with a fresh pair of eyes and state of mind.

  • Nice work. Too cute!

A lot of developers. One of the Prince of Persia series did this a pissed a lot of people off. Level too hard?? Hey you can buy a life. Then it was a kids game Ice Age that limited you and you had to keep buying whatever it was to advance.

Its a good move mainly when ones that target kids.

  • +1 Eisenhans suggestion. Spriter should be in your developer toolbox most definitely.

Thanks for this link. It looks awesome.

But for the OP yea the GUI-Interface could be updated but I use it. I used it alot for my recent project and learned alot of things it was capable of, things I didn't know it was able to do. So Inkscape is not bad. You can always try out Microsoft Expressions it nice and free (cause they stopped development on it). I use a few times for vector work.

  • This is a great job!! Love it!!

  • Awesome work!! Good luck!
