  • For the past six months I have been using construct 2. I have released 7 games.... not all of them "good". But whenever I got stuck I always went onto the construct 2 forums and within hours a friendly reply came back with the answer. My goal with construct 2 was to be able to transfer to 3D games using unity 3D. For the past 2 weeks I started my first unity game. Even though it seems like a scary change from construct 2... i cant do 3d on construct 2. I love the construct 2 engine. THANK YOU FOR BEING SO AMAZING WHENEVER I GET STUCK

  • You have solid behavior on the player and enemies. It's going to block the line of sight.

    When I turn the solid behavior off it still does not allow the enemies to shoot

  • So basically I added in a shotgun and all of a sudden all my enemies cannot fight back. They usually fire hurtyoubullet when you cause enough chaos.... but now it does not work anymore...

    I want people to suggest what I should add to the game to make it more fun. I am going for a GTA V type game (PARTY, GOOD FOR FUNNY MOMENTS YOUTUBE VIDEOS) I know I need better art and music/sounds.   • Personally I do all 32 bit games (cuz art is EZ) but I wanna see what other people do to create art for games. I use a website call piskel ... its a pretty good website

    E to open inventory

    When I try to open the upgrade menu then go back to the main game it resets the upgrade menu. I want it to keep everything in the upgrade menu the same. End goal is after you buy something you can come back and buy the upgraded thing. NOTE in my project there is a shop layout... in this post I am talking about the UPGRADES layout.

    With a lack of orginization and awful release this game was a giagantic flop on my part. But I wanna thank the community on scirra.com for helping me whenever I got stuck xD

    Seems cool but there would be a danger of people getting side tracked from game making in favour of game chatting

  • I have been trying to make a game were you have to survive 5 days in "space" or another planet. The basics of the game is you can explore and find more materials (upgrade weapons/walls for defence) then at nightime monsters come in and try to kill you. In the game I want to make a basic inventory system and a basic block placing system. My biggest game before this was a doungen crawler style game that had tons of glitches... This game I want to be in a terraria style.

    1. For breaking blocks and using blocks from your inventory how should I do this... I have never had any experience with arrays before

    2. I have been reading a ton on this forums and found others doing randomly generated world... I dont want to do this... I will do randomly generated loot, enemies, and events

    3. If anyone could link anybody else that has tried this with a .capx file so I can get an idea of where to start (I have tried creating this game twice and I always get stuck with the inventory and block placing)

    4. As I said before I have had NO EXPERIENCE with arrays (They kinda scare me tbh) if someone could link something about it (I read the manual and it did not go as in depth as I want it to... example : How to use it/ examples)

    In total I just want to learn to use arrays... that is my big learning curve. Once I learn how arrays work my game making would get a lot better.
