  • I can do it, but what I suggest is:

-Remove the level thing. Make it simpler by putting Highscores and challenges with friends

-Don't make the lives permanent if you buy, it will cause a big difference between who has money and who hasn't.

Just ideas, nothing complicated or offensive. If you want you can tell me more about what you want in terms of layout and I start doing some sketches.

  • I would prefer to Load an Custom WebFont.

All the browsers are going to render it different, but all of them are also going to render the same font.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • In my opinion, 720p.

First, set it to render in "Point" method (I prefer, but it's not a rule). After this, design you sprites for 720p. If it's scaled for less, it wouldn't be a problem, and if it's scaled for more, the size of the screen won't show it Pixelated (unless you are planning on using it in a 50"+ TV). :3

  • Oh, it sounds very simple.

Unfortunately, I hardly share my Skype, but, if you want some help, share your main problems here. Like, if you use another language with the game (some side archives with PHP or Java). If you are having trouble with some plugin, or, if you do not think the mechanism you created is good enough.

With this clarified, we can think about fixing. :3

  • Here we go in parts so you don't get lost, ok?!

      1. Add the "Browser Object" 2. Create a new Layout, rename it, and put it as a "Custom Loading Layout" (see https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/318/ho ... ng-screens) 3. Put "System: On the start of Layout" -> "Browser: Check for Updates" 4. Put "Browser: On update ready" -> "Browser: Download Update" 5. Put "Browser: On update downloaded" -> "System: Reload"

This will make it check for a update, download it and then automatically restart the game without any Loading Screen.

  • Its a great game! Nice work!!!

It has support for touch controls?

Complete support for touch controls, it was one of the requirements to enter the competition.

  • The end of the competition is in 3 days.

I've already got 4.500 views in 2 weeks, thanks for all the ones who have already played!

  • The game was submitted to the Firefox Marketplace and I was bombed with views!

    This is the link:

    https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/slashem

Thanks for all of you that have already played!

  • katzin, thanks!

CauliflowerNerd, I'll update when the competition finish, I can't do nothing until it ends. :3

samblack You're not able to move fast (why can't orcs run as fas as you?) or swing your sword on purpose, that was how the game was made, but no problem, I'll keep improving. Thanks for testing! :3

Also, you swing your sword by making circles with the mouse, it's totally compatible with mobile/touch devices.

  • Some Screenshots. :3

  • I've finished my game for the Got Game Competition!

    Check out the description:

    [quote:1rxcwnj7]DESIGNED TO BE PLAYED FULLSCREEN!

You were walking in beautiful 8bit-lands when Orcs suddenly appear.

No problem for a Knight like you, uh?!

Can you kill all the orcs and get the last skin?

Please, if you can, rate and comment it! :3

The screenshots were too big for the Attachments, for not looking weird, check it out in the site I pasted above.

  • samblack, it's the same thing, now I'm working only in unreleased projects, and there is nothing heavy for you to test, but, if you want something to compare, the loading is faster than Scirra Arcade or Kongregate and the performance is the same as the "Preview" in Construct 2.

As soon as I finish building my sandbox/puzzle project, I'll post here. :3

  • I used to publish using Dropbox, it was fast and easy.

But, Dropbox was a factor that doesn't seem to help, many bugs, HTML didn't work so well, and the bandwidth.

So, soon as I could, I was using xampp in a local server. But what about real servers?

Searching a lot, I could find this starting wonderful website, BitBalloon is the most complete tool for Construct 2 and HTML5 developers.

    Here are some features:

      Free Webhosting with no limitations
Easy method of uploading (HTML5 Export -> Move the folder to site)
Low-price for custom domains and subscription
A lot of web-tracking and monetizing

There is a lot more, but this is what I've been testing and using.

[quote:swsp0ubb]Oh, yeah? But if it is so good how did I never had heard of it?

Because it's a starting website, I've been using for 2 weeks and all my projects are beautiful being played!

[quote:swsp0ubb]But, if it's so good, what can I do to help?

Since it's a small and wonderful tool, you can subscribe or donate, and if you don't have money, share with your friends. They're like us, creating and doing things from nothing!

    Here is the website:

    https://www.bitballoon.com

Thanks for you attention, I know you are going to love it! So, please, tell what you've tested about the site here, and share, the bets thing you can do is make the site famous!

  • Quite interesting, I've already signed up for beta!

Now I'm just waiting for any chance of testing, then, I'll do some tests and maybe a game.

    Thanks for the information. :3

  • Of course, TELLES0808, and sorry if when I said "500+ hours" it sounded like "I've a lot of knowledge", because I didn't mean that and I don't have, I just wanted to sound that I'm familiar with the program. You're right in doing things that you want to do, go live your life.

RenatoB It can be a possibility, we can discuss this, or even work in a project together.
