  • Event sheets would make organizing a whole lot easier.

  • Self-portrait I drew way back in January 2011.

I should draw another one soon.

Are you sure you didn't pick "New Application" instead of "New DirectX Game" when you started your project?

.. Crap. That is EXACTLY what I did. LOL

Thanks for the help, guys! XD

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I don't see any Graphics-type objects (e.g. Sprite) in the insert object dialog.

    Halp. ;o;

That's like forgetting how much you loved your girlfriend / wife. Unforgivable! Now you need to buy the devs a huge sparkling diamond ring to fund further development!

Did you know development was on hold until you came back?

    feel loved. And appreciated.

And to be quite honest a bit creeped out.

Anyway, my friend is coming over Sunday, and he and I will open up and fiddle with Construct (probably won't actually make anything in Construct 2-- we'll probably just play with it a bit and use Construct Classic. )

Oh how I can't wait until Construct 2 is finished.

  • I started playing around with Construct for the first time in a long today earlier this evening.

I can't believe I forgot how much I loved it.

  • Do you mean an exporter that exports a .capx file to the given platform without launching the Construct 2 editor?

What would be the point of that?

No, I mean executable binary files.

[edit]R0J0hound: I think that answers my question.

  • Hey-o... was just wondering if a standalone (i.e., not tied to the GUI) exporter for Construct 2 is a possibility in the future, if you've thought about it, and if not...

    ... THINK ABOUT IT!

    ... kbye.

[edit] Oh, and I would like to clarify that the exporter would be for exporting to the target platform natively... for the purpose of, say, taking advantage of OpenGL (or any other graphical system).

    [edit2] ... kbye.

  • Dude this is great! What you're doing is sooooo amazing, Ashley.

Unless you need an artist/designer to help with game demos, then I would be happy to assist!

[edit] O! I just read about your early-adopter license! I'll just buy that when it becomes available!

  • My couple cents:

    http://www.scirra.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=8635&start=60#p66169

    These are good ideas.

I voted "yes", as a better game is better than money. And giving you money means a Construct better suited for making games!

  • Added a response!

    LOVE YOU GUYS! \m/ >< \m/

  • Just two graphical nitpicks:

The platforms that allow you to jump up through them should have an indication that they're behind the playing field.

The trees in the background of the second level have shadows that face the sun, rather than away.

    ... that's all for now.

  • Sorry, dude, but he and I haven't had the opportunity to work with this lately.

I'll definitely keep you posted during actual development, though!

  • Sprites have a "Spawn Another Object" action under Creation category under the Sprites behavior tab.

  • I think you what swimming like super Mario world.

anyway here is a cap to show you how to do it.

just press X key to jump and swim up.

    hope this help you out.

believe he wanted to actively swim downward... floating until the user presses button X.
