  • Hello all,

I see some users with their published games under their comments, in the forums, linking to the app's store page . How do I get my apps linked to my account and displayed under my profile? . I don't see any options in account settings.

    Thanks

  • Hello all,

Just released my game Swipe Cricket https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.machpandy.swipecricket on the play store.

It uses the Physics behavior mainly and is compiled in Webview+ by Cocoon.

Simple game of Cricket. Just chose your game mode and swipe across the screen to control the player's bat.

    Would appreciate some feedback.

    Thanks

I had the same issue, but only found half a fix.

I had the same issue as you where the black screen occurs after the cocoon splash. So after a lot of trial and error, I got my first layout to load fine. I dunno what exactly the right setting is but what I did was :

    • WebGl ON
    • unbounded scrolling - NO (test with YES and see if it makes a difference)
    • Physics - Box2D web
    • Loader style - Percentage text
    • Not related to the issue, but apply the fix explained by Ludei right above your comment . The second link.

Now I say half a fix cause if your project uses the Physics behavior, it won't load. It will remain black no matter what. My second layout uses Physics and If I transition to that layout, I get the black screen. So I assume there are 2 separate black screen issues. As for now there is no mention of a fix for the physics issue.

Note that this is only with Canvas. You can get the Physics to work with Webview+, but it's pretty much unplayable.

  • Anyone else having trouble previewing over LAN with cocoonjs app.

I press webview+, and it just shows the loading icon for a bit, and and then reverts back to the select url screen in the cocoonjs app.

I think I found the culprit.

    Thanks

Oh. Didn't realize that. I had updated to the latest C2 beta, and got this error. In the previous versions of C2 I did not get this error even though I had added the Ads, IAP, and Social plugins to the project.

  • ludei

Added the new plugins to C2, and started getting this error. Error occurs for all the plugins.

  • Getting the above error message on startup. Clicking retry starts C2, clicking ignore pops up the same error again. Anyone else experiencing this?.

  • Hello all,

Can anyone give me an example on how the 'on return value' can be used usefully?. I mean I generally use functions to just call events with different parameters. I've never used the 'call expression' or 'on return value' . So how can I make use of these?

Can you pass on the link to this photon plugin.

How is this plugin different from the regular multiplayer?.

Does it make one of the peers as the host if the original host leaves, or it just leaves the room unclosed, which means it'll only work in games where the multiplayer logic is running on the peers also, and not only the host.

  • Is there a difference if I save values/stats in an Array or a Global variable.

I find it convenient that I can save multiple values in an Array and save that one Array in Webstorage, over having to save multiple Global variables in Webstorage.

So is there any benefit of one over the other?

  • Hey all,

So was wondering if anyone has published a game (specify platform pls) using C2's multiplayer feature, and had it working with no issue.

  • Webview+ is perfect for simple online multiplayer games. Poker or a card game of your own design which is mostly just gonna be static scenery and cards changing frames. Seeing as Canvas+ does not support C2's multiplayer feature, Webview+ is still a good thing to have.

I was thinking of the same thing. I remember in one of the poker games I used to play, there were sometimes pauses during the gameplay whenever someone left. Maybe the game was changing hosts.

I guess each peer saves the room name in a variable, and if the host disconnects, they all reconnect to the room name from the variable.

    Thanks for the reply.
