• Hey man,

Thanks very much. Everything in the game is mine, except the music

Not a bad idea. I could have a little message pop up "saying upgrades, next level" etc.

How did you find the difficulty and did you manage to finish all nine of the levels? Oh and did you come come across any bugs? Haha, so many questions!

    Thank you!

  • Been working on a small game for the past month now. I am pretty close to finishing the game with placeholder graphics so, I thought I would share :)

    Mole's Holes

First near finished project I have done so, I am pretty hyped that I have come this far! I am going to enter in to the Newgrounds competition when it's all complete and I redo all the artwork. It's been designed for touch screen but, works fine with just your mouse. Oh also, there is no level ten so, that's not a bug, just haven't made it yet.

Hope you enjoy! All constructive criticism is welcome!

If you get any lag, try running it in full-screen with F11.

  • No worries. I have just seen the latest update (r124).

"the new Persist behavior allows you to make persistent layouts. Normally if you leave a layout then return to it, all its objects have reverted to the initial state as you designed in the editor. Sometimes this is annoying if you want, say, the player to return to a previous level but with all the enemies they killed and powerups they collected still gone. Now you can simply add the Persist behavior to objects you'd like to remember - in this case, the enemies and powerups. Then on returning to the layout, all those objects are exactly as you left them. This is great for non-linear games where you want the player to come through a previous section, but without having to re-do everything they did before."

    Thank you Scirra!

  • If you are looking for something cheap to develop on, try looking at the iPod Touch. A lot cheaper than a phone but, with all the functionality of one when it comes to developing apps and games. They are also a lot cheaper.

  • Example Controls - Left Click or Touch.

I am having trouble getting my pick-ups working. I want it so when you pick-up a blue carrot in level one, it will stay picked up when you return to that level. If you look at the example file, if you play the first three levels, you can return to any of the levels and the pick-ups that you already picked up earlier will return.

How would I go about keeping them "picked up"?

    Thank you.

  • Hey,

Just playing around in C2 and came up with these mechanics. I think it could have potential. Various types of balls and platforms and what not.

The aim of the game is to bounce the ball in to the finish area, using the different platforms available.

Give it a go - Gravity Ball

I am not sure how original the idea is or if it has been done before but, if you lot have seen something similar, do tell.

  • Yeah, pretty awesome! Got it pinned up with some other game development related memories haha!

(I would hardly call this "development" though :P)

Interesting video, touches on things here.

  • Hey, set myself a couple of hours before bed to remake the famous "Portal" mechanic. It's not finished and full off bugs, but somewhat playable, if you end up disappearing out of the map, just refresh!

    Portal in C2

    Move - WASD or Arrows

Portals - Left and Right Click

(You can get to the other side of the room without it bugging out, but it may take a few F5's )

  • A game that will finally make me cry or maybe even think of the consequences before you pull a trigger.

  • I animated the body in Flash 8 and exported each frame out as PNG. I have heard good things about Spriter, but I didn't fancy learning a new program when I had deadlines to do. Will defiantly look in to it once I finish this project.

Haha, wups. Thought that is where I was. If a mod could kindly move?
