NugMan's Forum Posts

  • NugMan, I know it's a one-year old post, but i want to ask something. Hope it wont bother you. I downloaded your capx and played it. However, when I changed the Full screen in browser into Letterbox scale or letterbox scale integer and resize the browser window, the mouse targeting is no longer accurate. Can you help me how to fix this? thanks <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Hi! Well, there was one bug in mouse coordinate system, but I've thought it was fixed though I don't remember if this prototype contains this. I'm sorry but at this moment I can't help you. Are you trying to create a similar game? In that case I may help you if I can.

  • Well, at least my 2nd Notch badge is OK :)

  • I'll have a look tomorrow when I get in the office to see if it's possible. Please don't get too excited though, it might not be doable.

So what have you discovered, Tom? Is it possible? I'm still interested <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I want my days back please. All other problems are not important. Is it technically possible?

  • I am disappoint :(

Give back mine 50 consecutive days. It's my 4th try for 100 days medal.

  • Anyway - hi mate!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Coding without even basic English is impossible, so what the point of them? Also the overall knowledge and skills base is notably higher on international boards.

  • 331 medals, that's really epic.

  • The forum is english only (i tried to answer to russian people in russian). But PM that in other languages (russian, chinese) delivers without problem.

    Dont know why.

  • I just found that Ashley don't have medal. I think if you trying to improve software, you should buy it, because there's only 100 lines of code possible and no families for free version.

    It was a joke.

  • No containers -> good opportunity to learn "for each" and "pick by " at last.

  • Another drawback - more lines of code - which contradicts the basic idea of both Constructs.

I'm also bad at programming - that's yet another drawback.

Ahh, if we could only knew approximate release date for containers ( Ashley Tom <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> )...

  • Containers' last mention.

I'm just broken till when it done. I thought that containers are so basic (well, after quite big possibilities of Classic 2 years or so ago), damn <img src="smileys/smiley11.gif" border="0" align="middle">.

Anyway, I should be able to achieve my goals with UIDs and IIDs picking. But containers were the one and only elegant choice for me just 1 hour ago - that's why I'm so upset.

  • Well, that's too bad.

I'm trying to create game with composite characters. Each character has cube sprite with platform behavior. But the whole mess begins when you trying to control _multiple_ instances of one enemy specie.

That problems could be easily solved by original construct's container system... which don't exist here.

I've suddenly realized how I am deep in troubles for now.

  • I see. Though there's no bug in Chrome.

But in Firefox, after clicking button, you should click in game window again, or else browser sets game window out of focus, and keys are in control of main window (arrows will scroll page instead of moving an objects ingame).

    Bug confirmed for me.
