  • This looks like it could be really interesting, certainly different from a lot of things I've seen on here! Did I see in another thread you have a writer from Marvel involved in this?

Great character concepts - so much love for the pirate bear! <3

Looking forward to seeing how development progresses, good luck with the project!

Thanks LAURA_D. Yes, the story is being written by a Marvel and Image comics writer

I'm hoping to get this running on c3 but I had to revert back to c2 for the time being due to a memory leak issue. Hopefully it can be resolved quickly so I can continue developing in 3.

    Cheers

I logged into construct 3 and it is saying I am on the free version. I tried refreshing and it's still saying it.

Any tips on how to get it to recognize the license?

update: it's telling me that it's on the public beta

Are the subscriptions starting already? Because I cannot use the software. I looked and see that it's still in beta. Does that mean my subscription doesn't start til after beta is over?

Nice! Beat'em Up or like Street Fighter fighting game?

Fighting game similar to Street Fighter/Marvel Vs Capcom

A lot of work and animation ahead... but def going to be a fun project.

Have a writer from Marvel fleshing out the story. Pretty excited

  • Thanks guys. We really appreciate the feedback!

updated logo for Treasure Fist. Now animated

  • Logo for my fighting game, Treasure Fist

  • Ashley yea, it goes out when I'm trying to preview the animation in the animation editor and whenever I try to preview the layout. This happens every single time.

I do have a question. I am adding a lot of art assets to this project as a whole and I've only really added the logo animated PNG sequence.

Is chrome going to be a huge blocker for development for an asset/animation heavy project?

That's my concern at the moment.

I'm working on the Wacom MobileStudio Pro 16

  • Chrome keeps running out of memory. I have an animation that is about 60mb. It's a big file but its a animated sequence for the opening of my game. How do i get around this?

  • I went ahead and paid for c3 and there are so many improvements. The games run buttery smooth so far. I'm working on Super Ubie Island 2 and so far I am having a wonderful experience. The remote preview is great and being connected to the cloud is awesome as well.

I don't have much to complain about honestly. Keep up the great work. I shall continue developing games with construct for sure

Actually just one thing... I was hoping to import all of my previous projects and do updates but since I used some community plugins, I can't bring them over

That's my only issue at the moment.

  • Character select theme

  • bringing back a lot of the cast from the original

    New character to the series

comparison from 1 to 2 thus far

  • Production on Super Ubie Island 2 began not too long ago and is being brought over to Construct 3.

  • In concept phase for Notion's next project, Treasure Fist.

Treasure Fist is going to be a 2d fighter with inspiration from Marvel vs Capcom and Power Stone.

I'll continue to update this thread throughout development.

This topic as a whole has run its course. When C3 subscriptions become available, either sign up for the first year or don't.

There are many complaints about Construct being a hobbyist tool. Their solution is to have subscriptions so they can pay their workers and add more features.

Makes sense and if it doesn't work then I'm sure they'll change the model. But til then, there's c2 and other engines.

I've decided to support and hope that this year shows that they're adding the features we want/need.

Others will follow suit and others won't. I do understand the desire to fight against the decision but it is what it is.

Yea I'm pretty sure at this point I'm on board as well.

With the history of c2s updates, I'm confident c3 will be completely different over time with all the updates.

ONLY concern was really exporting to consoles but according to their blog posts, they're looking into options for that.

subs aren't a concern for me especially if it ensures that the team is staying afloat to keep updating c3.

They're reworking the runtime and all. So, yea. Pretty happy with the future plans of it so far.
