  That's kind of like that Star Trek episode where the aliens only spoke in metaphors.

  If you don't know what the metaphor is referencing it means noting to you.

  Basically its out of scope to the computer.

  Forgive me if I'm wrong, but a leaderboard usually means running a server, or using a service like Clay.io.

  I would also guess that you could make one for yourself using the multiplayer object.

  Its pretty simple really. In "tile math" you multiply the position by the tile size, and to get a tile at one of the adjacent tiles you cycle over the the x, and y values by adding, or subtracting 1.

  When an object is created it is picked, and can be referenced within the tier it was created in.

  So set the variable there.

  The poly is always there, it may not cover much area if wasn't set correctly.

  Then you should check the collision polygons of the objects you want to touch.

  The image editor doesn't always create them as expected.

  You can assign different variable values to different instances in the editor, and you can pick that instance by comparing that variable's value at runtime.

  Create the scenery piece by piece using reusable instances, and use repeating textures with the Tiled Background object for the large .... backgrounds.

  For animations I'd say get Spriter, but pixel art is not very easy to work with in it, and well, you're using CC.

  What matters is the size of the textures you put into it, so basically...

  Many small similar objects = yes

  One big texture = nope

  That api is open source so you could host it on your own server, byt honestly you would be better off using javascript since you can't guarantee if the service will keep working.

  It does use up somebody else's bandwidth.
