  • I made different animations of a sprite into recolored versions of the object. I'm trying to get them to set to a random one so all the different sprites are different colors. All I can get it to do is flash between all of it though, or stay stuck on just one color for all of them.

I tried duplicating the "Create your own Christmas Game" tutorial game's method, (it's exactly what I'm trying to do but the tutorial doesn't actually go over it,) as well as the "Random Animation" by Weishaupt tutorial, and those both led to flashing.

(it's seriously annoying that newbies can't post links @ )

  • ALLMarkMade I thought it was pretty neat! Some music might be nice though! And also, you can drag the shoe and kill the starting bugs before pressing play! Maybe you should have the shoe spawn on playing or something!

That fixed it right up! Thanks!!

  • I have a bunch of bouncing sprites which tip towards the ground when falling, and then flip and tip towards the sky when ascending. I'm wanting the actual movement to remain exactly the same, but for the sprite image to remain upright/untipped. The sprites are bullets with higher gravity. Any ideas on what to do? :B

  • DuckfaceNinja Alright I see!! I'll revisit this project after a few others then, thank you!

  • DuckfaceNinja Ah I see, so there's no way to do it without the array then? ): Dang, alright. Thanks for all your help!!

Sorry, I'm a little confused about what you're talking about! (I'm a total novice at Construct.) How do I do the spawn tail - destroy oldest instance? I searched the manual for that but it came up with no results!

(and just to clarify I'm wanting it to follow rigidly like in this game:)

edit: okay I guess I can't post links yet;; if you google "digisnake" it's the first and second link though

  • I'm making a snake game where the head is a character, and the tail is going to be individual pieces. I'm having trouble thinking of a way to get the tail blocks to spawn and start following the leader in his exact path.

My leader is a bullet and I used the keyboard key presses to change his angle giving it the snake movement feel. I tried the pin chain bar style and they didn't follow in the exact path, they curved when the leader turned. I'm also not sure how to tell them to spawn behind him/behind each other!

  • I like the skeleton animation!

  • Hey there! I'm just wanting to test the waters with this program!
