  • Pretty nice!

Also, about that bug... it seems that when you select a timeline within the timeline editor, it actually doesn't get selected. Like selecting Intro doesn't show it, after you've created another timeline.

  • I decided to use hash tables for that.

  • That is... awesome... but a staggering amount of complexity... head exploding!

  • There was a perspective demo, search for 'perspective'.

  • Deceleration?

  • Google.com is harmful!

  • Try Construct 3

  • Awesome! Just a couple things...

    • is the engine (spacebar) supposed to do something? So far I haven't noticed any effects apart from neat graphic effect.
    • there was a spinning box that didn't seem to do anything when I picked it up.
  • Even those simple things should have a list of Actions, Conditions and Expressions, all of which are viewable through Object Information within the Construct editor.

    Document everything!

Edit: I've added the Box object, copy&pasting some stuff form other pages and altering them appropriately. Feel free to fix it if anything important is missing... but really, box object is that simple.

I'll add more pages like that. They won't be feature rich, but at least it will be something.

  • That is why I test each feature or idea out in the 'sandbox' cap before I proceed with implementation.

  • "Set font size" and "Set font"? Those are available as actions of the text object.

Edit: nevermind, you're talking about the EDITOR... *smacks self*

It's true... I can't find an option to change those fonts, either. It is not apparent in construct.ini, either.

  • Genius. Now whenever I feel a little wobbly and sick, I'll take a keyboard with me!

  • Hm, I feel so silly now that I look at it with rested brains. I should just have taken the difference between ScrollX and MouseX then substract it from the ScrollX!

    ScrollX-(ScrollX-MouseX)*0.03 (horizontal scrolling speed)

    ScrollY-(ScrollY-MouseY)*0.04 (vertical scrolling speed)

Since I can't seem to edit my initial post, I'll just upload the updated cap here.

Edit: Oh, so that is what lerp does!

  • Suppose I could cause some havoc with my ill-informed knowledge! Name: Mipey

  • I'll get around to the wiki and help with whatever I've familiarized myself with, which is not much... but I do want to see Construct progress!

  • So I was thinking, "I want a map layout that I can scroll around". Soon I realized that just "Scroll to MouseXY" just won't do, as it instantly focuses the screen on mouse coordinates.

After a bit of reinventing the wheel, I've come up with a smooth layout scrolling solution. See the attached cap. Just hold left mouse button to scroll around.

I dare you to find a more elegant solution! All is fair in love, war and development.
