  • Hi Kyatric,

Yes it is in the preview.

The value of Preview mode is HTTP.

The value of Preview Browser is (default) ** that would be IE 9.

demo projects Space Blaster or Ghost Shooter freeze up in the Preview at these settings after 15 to 30 seconds.

I tried switching the value of Preview mode to File. And The value of Preview Browser is still at (default) ** that would be IE 9.

The demo projects Space Blaster and Ghost Shooter freeze up at these settings too.

If I change the Preview Browser to Chrome and the Preview mode to HTTP.

The preview works fine. So it is just IE 9 having the problem with the preview.

I can see your point about a problem with IE 9 but why then when I export the project to the internet and use IE 9 it works fine?

And I will update to R61 and see if that helps and let you know.

  • I had something like this too. I found out my animation frames were off center a bit. Try to recenter all the frames. and make sure all frames the same size.

I am having a problem when I try to run the layout inside of construct 2 using Internet explorer nine. I can open your demo projects Space Blaster or Ghost Shooter and the same thing happens. When I run and the layout it loads up fine and starts to run but after 15 to 30 seconds the screen locks up but you can hear the music playing. If I change the default browser to google chrome then it runs fine inside of construct 2. If I export it to my Dropbox for testing it will run fine on Internet explorer nine.

  • I had looked at ibuypower.com a while ago, and I read very mixed reviews. Some people say it's great, while others mentioned that parts were defective, and workmanship was very shoddy. The prices do seem great though, a lot lower than other sites, and almost too good to be true.

Thanks Davioware for letting know about this. I'll keep my eye on this.

  • Hi SoldjahBoy,

    [quote:2yxbejnd]Why do you want 2 blu-ray burners?

Well one was a blu-ray Burner and one was a blu-ray play / DVD burner. But you got a good point on that the cost is very high right now and I should wait. If I just get a DVD burner drive and a DVD reader Drive I can save $200.00 - $300.00 and pay for the sound card. and upgrade the power supply to 1000W.

[quote:2yxbejnd]A can't stress enough though how much better the GTX280 is than ALL other GTX cards, including the latest GTX295's. The 280 kills them all.

I'm not entirely sure what price difference you are looking at between the 275 and 280, but whatever it is, it's worth it.

Are you talking about the just the 280 or the 285?

The nVidia GeForce GTX 285 is $110.00 more then the GTX 275.

The nVidia GeForce GTX 295 is $310.00 more then the GTX 275. from what they say the GTX 295 is two GTX 275 in one card.

As I just found out if you go SLI or CROSSFIRE you can not do dual monitor's. I think I will just go with the one nVidia GeForce GTX 275. For the money I don't see the GTX 285 $110.00 better.

  • You guys are bad for my budget:) You have got me thinking more and more about the solid state drive. I have a Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ on my network for the mass storage so everyone in the home can get to the data all the time. So I do not need that big of drives on the computer.

  • Thanks Ashley for your input on this.

I been going back and forth about the dedicated sound card. Just looking to save the $50.00 plus bucks.

As for the solid state drives I have looked in it to it, but right now its a bit to expensive for me. I'll wait until the price comes down more. As for how fast the system boots, loads things, with the way my old system is working going to this new system will be like going from a VW Bug to a Viper So for right now the speed will be fine.

  • Try Construct 3

  • I think its time I put my old computer system down, it's over 5 years old and is going down hill fast.

So I am looking for a place to get my new system at. I have looked at a bunch of web sites , but I keep ending up at http://www.ibuypower.com . It seems to me the best bang for your buck. Has anyone here used them? are they good, bad company?

Well here is what I am looking at getting. Let me know if you think I should change anything, or any other input on this.

  • Yes deadeye, I just tried this out. If I toggle that action off, it runs. for me.

  • Did any one find out why some of us crash using westray CAP and other don't?

  • > Nice game, really well done. I also get a crash trying to run the .cap though. The debugger says:

    > "A crash inside the runtime has been intercepted"

    >

yeah I got that crash too.

Yes That what I get to. The .EXE works fine for me but the CAP load fine but crashes with "A crash inside the runtime has been intercepted"

So this is what I have

    Running Construct 0.99.3

Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3

    Intel Pentium 4 2.80GHz, 512MB Ram

    Device name: NVIDIA GeForce 6600

    Pixel shader: 3

    Estimated VRAM: 359 MB

    Motion blur: Yes

  • I am having a problem running this in 0.99.3 it crashes before it starts. Can anyone else run this in 0.99.3 ?

  • Thanks again dkdoom for your help with this

It is working well until you blow up one of the enemy. Then you start to run in to problems. I have to find the right spot to repick the target so it keeps runing right after you kill the target that has a lockon.

  • Ok I have rethought the tracking System and came up with new system using an array.

    http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1244375/SpaceShipDemo6B.cap

But now I have run into a new problem. When the games starts with the 4 big Rocks it is working fine. But once you blow up one of the big rocks it makes three little rocks. And the system breaks down.

My TotalTargets Var shows only 3 when it should show 6.

The array is showing all 6 targets. But for some reson the little rocks are not getting added to the total targets var. Both the big rocks and the little rocks are in the same Eneny family. I am using Enemy.Count to get TotalTargets.

    Controls.

    arrow keys to move

    space key to fire

    C key to start tracking.

X and V keys to target next ship
