  • Yeah you need a Physical Mac or you can rent a virtual mac... Then use CocoonJs. If you have any questions feel free to PM me...

If u export from a mac with cocoonjs, you get better performance than using phonegap?

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hi Guys,

I started making demos on spectrum in basic and then during the years i made small demos for fun with different engines ranging from A4-A7, UDK, Cryengine, Unity, Flash and more. Mostly i am a game designer/level designer / scripter. I know basic programming but i have no interest these days to program a game from start to finish alone, so i am looking for to use CC 2 to make small indie games.

I worked 5 years in the industry at big companies as a QA Tester, Level Designer and more, so i have some experience in design, scripting, producing and more which will help in the long run. Now i am still testing CC2 and while i love the logic behind it and the tools, i hate that it doesn't have a proper exe exporter or/and mac exporter, which will hurt the product in the long run, but we will see what can we do with the wrappers.

  • Hi Guys,

I ve been playing with Construct 2 for about 3 days and i made a few interesting things, i like the tool, its the best i saw so far, and i worked with lots of engines, but i am not a real programmer so i got tired of making demos and never finish them.

Now before i buy the engine next week, i would like to see some .exe demos from the latest CC2 version if anybody would be so kind, to see the performance on my old laptop and the desktop.

I like that you can export to HTML 5(good for online demos), but the main income for indies comes from desktop games. Very few actually make money from facebookcrap (ignoring flash sites or ads) or apple+android, due to large companies that can control the distribution quite easy there, just look at the titles: Gameloft, EA, Popcap etc. This might change in a few years, but now is not viable, of course i am willing to try and i have a experience with this, but implementing ads or selling licenses is disgusting. I make games for fun and that i think they would be fun for other too, and sell them. If we go with ads, licensing it wont be indie, it will be just making a "recipe" game every 2-3 months to implement ads or dress it and sell it to contacts with license.

    So:

Those with latest version, personal and business version pretty please post a .exe demo from a capx from arcade, or whatever you have handy if possible. Ill check awesome to see if i can wrap it myself until then:P

    Thanks!!!

  • Sorry but that's just Apple laziness. Their staff could filter these, but why spend money on capable staff when you can just cash in. At least now they have that report tool settled.

  • Thanks for trying to help, but it seems its happens the same, this time the object moves to 360, check the enemy group:

I managed to make a object rotate while moving with Rotate and Move forward. But still i have problems with facing.

I want to spawn object outside the screen, apply a random facing, move it to a direction. But every time i do this, the object faces the path he is goin to.

  • I would love too, but first i have to test the exe exporter when ill buy the personal edition. Until then, will see:)

  • i see u got 110 version, i am using free version(108) for now until December.

  • Hi Guys,

I am creating some asteroids for my space shooter, and i was wondering about facing while moving. It seems every time i change the angle, it change by itself to 90 because the object its heading that way:

System > Every X Second: System > Create Asteroid on layer .....

asteroid > Set Angle to 90 Degrees

So by having Angle to 90 degrees and speed the asteroid will move to bottom from his spawn position. My question is how to changie his facing to a random(x,y) position while having his direction unchanged.

    Thanks

  • thanks Kenney. Do you do custom work too? Paid of course

  • Nice work mate. I like it.
