  That's an interesting approach.

  I was thinking about the following gestures, any idea on how to do that ?

  • 2 fingers to drag/scroll layer (this is what Google map proposes now for mobiles gestures)
  • 2 fingers pinch to zoom/de-zoom (this is what Google map proposes now for mobiles gestures)
  • 1 finger tap for spawning.
  • 1 finger hold on spawn object to drag it around the layout

  I have this configuration :

  • Project properties say : Viewport size = 854 x 480
  • Layout properties say : Layout size = 1708 x 960 and Layout Margins = 1000x1000

  Viewport is smaller than Layout so Viewport limits should appear as dotted rectangle on the Layout scene. As it does with C2.

  But it doesn't.

  Is there a command to show/hide ?

  Oh ! it works, perfect. On Mac, cmd is used instead of ctrl.

  What about showing viewport limits on stage ?

  Unfortunately, these functions don't seem to show on Chrome for Mac

  As for the zooming function for the scene, bottom of window shows "Zoom : 100%" but I can't find anywhere + or - buttons.

  Very interesting !!

  Could you do the same with 2 fingers for drag and zoom layer ? (One finger touch would be used to spawn an object on the scene)

  In construct 2, when a layout extends past the viewport boundaries, viewport limits where shown as a box. This function seem stop be absent from C3.

  Also, it seem to be impossible to zoom the stage.

  Am I missing something or are really these options absent from C3 ?

  Hi there,

  I'm in the process of using the bumpmapping effect to apply a shadow on a terrain and do not really undertand how to control light direction.

  In the enclosed example, I'm using a circular normal map to simulate a top view of a dome and would like to illuminate it from where the yellow dot is dragged on the scene. Apparently, it's not that easy. Any tip about that ?

  And also, the illuminated part of the dome is white white and I'd like to have it a lighter shade of the material. Also any tip for shadowing ?

  Well, I see what you mean. It won't give the expected result. Rectangle will be hidden and used just used to delimitate obstacles. What I mean is that :

  • Imagine a vertical rectangle
  • rectangle should be passable from left to right but not from right to left
