  • EyeHawk: This question was already asked back in February in this topic.

  • Well, I do use firefox, and haven't encountered this issue at all. (at least in previews)

    When you say "I was able to duplicate it in firefox by just making the basic 'ghost hunter' demo game and using WASD simulated 8-way movement.", do you mean you export the ghost shooter demo or you execute it as preview and it "bugs" ?

    Personally, I reach the quick find bar by pressing F3, and it never had interfered with controls in games so far.

    I have an AZERTY keyboard and a French version of FF, maybe it is an issue with the english version (though I'd doubt it).

    Really a strange behavior, it might be worth reporting to mozilla itself.

    FF's most recent version is 17.0.1, make sure it is the version you're running (in case this "bug" had been corrected by the patch).

  • Update your graphic card drivers (it's not just a matter of "thinking" it's up to date), also be aware that Intel's embed graphic chipset won't do as good a job as a true graphic card.

    To attach a game itself to a post, post a capx.

  • Please see how to report a bug.

    Your report is currently missing quite a lot of informations to be useful/treated.

  • I guess that knowing more about game making than average players, most people in this thread/community tend to unconsciously play like a designer (part2).

    And poorly/"uninnovatively" designed games might bore us quicker as we feel like "we learnt all of it" quickly, nor don't feel inclined to invest more in something we feel we've already seen/"understood".

  • The tutorials section of Scirra.com is filled with great informations.

    For example : Uploading HTML5 games to Kongregate

  • Please provide more informations.

    We don't know your application and you speak about an issue in your post, but how are we supposed to guess what the issue is ?

    Please give more details, a complete explanation (what's expected, what's happening), possibly links or capx.

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • --condition: compare action = 1

    -> action = 1

    -> do stuff

    If you want the actions to only happen once, be sure to modify the value of action so that every tick action is NOT equal 1 and the group of events/actions does not execute every tick.

  • It occurs when the assets of the game have been downloaded.

    A useful way of using the trigger is by make/using a custom layout loader. (Read the tutorial linked, it has all the explanations)

  • Example capx.

  • "On "start of layout" occurs each time a layout is executed.

    "On loading finished" occurs in custom layout loader and triggers when the assets of the game have been downloaded.

    This event can only trigger once on start of the execution of the game.

  • Congrats on the 100th plugin. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    You're just crazy ^^

    Don't you mind renaming the plugin to rexLayer ? (in the files as well as the name of your topic ?)

    I'm afraid it might bring some confusion at some point, and we might have people posting in the Bug forums about "layer issues" when it's in fact misuse of your plugin.
