  • What I'm looking for:

I'm looking for someone to write a script for an Animated Short.

The genre is Sci-fi/Fantasy and the tone I'd be looking for would be ranging from Spirited Away to FLCL (we can discuss this if you have a better idea).

    When you message me:

When you contact me tell me:

-Your Name and preferred contact info

-Links to your previous related work

    -Your rates

-Other skills you can offer (bi/multilingual, writing for games/mindmaps, and et cetera)

-Your favorite animated movie or animated series and why (important)

-Any other work you'd like to share or find relevant (like work you've done that's cool and nice or works from others that inspire or fascinate you)

    Contact me either through:

    Tumblr (fastest) [ keetoncat.tumblr.com/ ]

    ----OR----

Email (checked hourly) [ ] PLEASE MAKE THE EMAIL SUBJECT ANIMATION SCRIPT + YOUR NAME this is so I don't get you confused with someone else (thank you)

    Things to Know:

    1) This may function as a Pilot so I'm looking for someone that may want to work together again. (woohoo teamwork!)

    2) I only use PAYPAL or SQUARE CASH I will not pay through any other system.

    3) I may want revisions! So please anticipate and plan for for me to be a semi-picky client. (make sure you know what you'd charge for revisions as well)

    4) Don't be afraid to talk or even chit-chat. I'm a freelancer, not a corporate stiff neck, so I want to make sure we work well together. <3

    5) Please have your own contract

    That's all~

Feel free to ask any questions when you contact me and I'll be glad to answer! x)

  • I'm a electronic and chiptune musician, my work is both emotional and melody heavy. I'm also very fast when it comes to composition so I'm a great choice whether you're looking for just a single song, or an entire soundtrack.

I'm also very reasonable so I'm willing to work out something that works for both of us.

Check out my music here: https://soundcloud.com/emdrive or on my portfolio "chiptune" page: https://soundcloud.com/keetoncat

any other questions PM me or email me at: emmakeetoncat@gmail.com

  • You can host your game on gamejolt and generate keys for a private access or you can do it on itch.io too.

Both are free. It's not beta testing focused but it should do the job.

(Or you are talking about an online server for your game and I don't know the anwser)

Thanks! That's really helpful, I'll look into it

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • LMMS is like a free version of FL Studio, that being said it takes the same technical know-how to make a song. That was the software I started out on lol

  • I'd say you should purchase a decent sized external hard drive (Maybe a couple Terabytes they're relatively cheap now) and just use that only as an archive of your finished games. It's good to have a backup anyways and external hardrive is more universal and durable than a disc. Other than that you can upload your games to itch.io lol

I personally wouldn't "publish" anything on CD unless I was selling on a retail level or something like that.

  • I'm nowhere near beta in my project, just thinking ahead. is there any kind of service (free or paid) that will host your game online for a short period of time that also requires a unique key? I've been searching for something like that, but I haven't found anything yet.

I am aware of Betabound, but I haven't personally used it yet.

  • As a Steam user, I can honestly say that I've not had any issues with Steam's version of Construct 2. With Steam you're automatically registered when you download it, all you have to do is sign into steam. It works fine on both Laptop and Desktop for me. Having more than one instance of it open at a time seems unnecessary, unless you're working on more than one game at a time, which sounds problematic to imo.

I bought the Steam version after much consideration and I haven't regretted the decision, but you should also weigh your options before you make your decision

  • I'm wanting to make a team for trading skills.

I'm an artist and musician working on my own project. I'm looking for someone working on their own project that wants to trade my skills for theirs. What I currently need is someone to help with the writing or split the workload on one of the other things I have to do, in return I can help with either some or all of the skills I have depending on the trade of work.

This is open to everyone needing an artist or musician, but there will be a screening process as I would want this partnership to be mutually beneficial (this is also to build a rapport among other creators).

If you're interested or have questions, PM me and we'll talk further.

    Thanks

  • Just realized I never introduced myself to the forum

I'm KeetonCat (or Emma xD) I'm a variety of things, but my primary titles are artist and musician lol. I write a little and program a little, love video games, and enjoy story telling of almost any form.

    Nice to meet you all!
