  • About a year ago, I posted a question on how to get chowdren, and was only advised to email the creator and wait. Still no answer. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how I could get it? If I could get ahold them, I'd be more than willing to pay for it. Thanks.

  • I'm developing a fighting game, and I heard that chowdren improves the runtime for C2/C3. I've been trying to get in contact with the developer, but I can't seem to find them (where they are active at least). If anyone could give advice for obtaining chowdren, or to get in touch with them, I'd appreciate it.

  • dop2000 so, using one of your methods here, has somehow revealed that apparently, with a switch controller, it uses the home and options buttons as 2 of the directions on the D-pad. Don't know about the other 2, but I wonder if there is a way to map/swap them. Thanks btw

  • dop2000So I tried it and it does detect all inputs on the controller. But the issues still remains in C2. I went into the debug and it didn't give any button numbers for the d pad. Any advice for drivers if that helps?

  • So, I'm aware that c2 doesn't support most controllers, but maybe switch? My problem is that I can't get the D-pad to work on my switch controller. All the buttons and analogs work just fine, but it's like the d pad isn't even there. Any help?

  • lionz "Add a condition to button press event : punch = 0, that will stop you from punching until the variable resets. You created the variable but didn't use it."

Hey, thank you sir. You were absolutely correct.

  • So I'm making a fighting game, and I have it to where when the

player attacks, the variable for which the attack is set doesn't

set to off, until the animation is finished (i.e. On P

Pressed set punch to 1, On Punch = 1 set animation to

Punch, On animation "Punch" is finished, set variable

Punch to 0). The problem is, when I press another

attack button while the punch animation is playing, it is

interrupted by which ever animation is pertaining to the

button, then the punch animation will finish playing

afterwards. My idea is to make it to where while the

punch/various attack animation is playing (or while said

variable is true) it cannot be interrupted by another

    attack/command. Thanks in advance.

  • Ok I see the problem now. In the event sheet, I have "pin hitbox to character" under the "is character player 1" condition, along with all their controls. That is somehow interfering with the pin behavior of the hitbox Sprite, but when I remove "pin hitbox to character" from "is character to player 1", the hitbox will pin to the character. It is a 2 player game, So I guess what I need to do is find a more proper way to implement controls for player 1 and 2's controllers. Thank you for replying though sir.

  • So, I'm making a fighting, using a separate Sprite as a hitbox by pinning it to the characters. It was working pretty well for idk 2 or 3 months, but out of nowhere, now whenever I start the layout, the hitbox Sprite does not follow the character, I checked it in the debug, and noticed it said that is pinned is false. Any way to fix this?
