  • If construct gains popularity, be prepared for it. Not only elsewhere, but in this very forum.

It will happen no matter what. So, much like you said not to worry about what they say, you also shouldn't worry about what is said in return -- unless it somehow untrue.

Regardless, I've logged out of there and am done

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • TF2 is too much like real life XD Back stabbing guys, turrets blocking a normally easy path and of course the bigger guys with heavy firepower knocking you around!

    Err ... something.

  • I don't know SuperV, that was somehow more entertaining than Team Fortress 2 ... Warhammer though, you got me!

  • Trying so hard to not respond to him and failing miserably. I am at least trying to be polite.

  • Can't argue with free, although I think I would still prefer Construct if they were the same price.

  • Ashley, does the updater just initiate a reinstall for a new version (say, 0.94) or will it just update the needed files?

  • I'll stop posting. However, considering the audience of TDC, I think it was wise to defend at least a little.

It is surprising how they seem to not want another program to use ... as if it somehow makes MMF useless.

  • I am viNetti on there (no idea where I got that name from).

It's hard to not just jump in and defend Construct even though it has it's share of issues. Clickteam needs more competition regardless. They're slow.

As for the demo itself ... it really is a copy. It's one thing to make a game shooting ghosts, but they approached it by making everything look/feel as close to Ashley's demo as they could using an inferior set of effects.

Long story short (is it too late for that?), Ashley +1.

  • As requested:

Glitch occurs on my laptop (GMA950) but NOT on my desktop (8800GTX).

    Laptop resolution is 1280 x 800.

  • Are you using vista? If yes, fullscreen is bugged on vista.

    Try the windowed version!

I'm on Vista - fullscreen works fine.

  • <img src="http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b161/buddy40/shift.png">

    On fullscreen.

EDIT: I will check on my other system later.

  • Shifting blocks happens here too on intel GMA950.

Didn't test on my 8800GTX system.

  • Looks like something is simply reversed or mixed up when two or more are used.

  • I think the doubble-klicking is perfect, but there is one thing that annoys me. There are too many actions to choose XD.. One thing that i would really like is a search box. You create a new event, you klick on an object (a sprite for example), then you write for example "an anim..." then ther's only the "An animation playing" event showing. Like when you're searching in itunes!

The tabs (along the bottom) help plenty in this regard.

  • Tiny cosmetic thing - the 48px icon is missing several pixels in the white area near the bottom.

I'm thinking you either don't use 48px yourself or use a bright wallpaper

    Good update
