  • And with that being said I don't wish to rip on the product at all, I'm obviously a construct supporter (and spent $100+ on making a community site for it a while back).

  • I'm hesitant to buy something that wasn't completed within 2 years LAST TIME around. I'm also worried about there being important bugs not taken care of for 6+ months at a time this time around.

And considering version 1 is not yet complete...

I really need a reason to buy this - the only thing lacking is the credibility that it will actually be a product worth buying in the future - which because of the bugs in last version, i would not have purchased it.

  • I'm curious (and I don't think I'm the only one) but will this be able to eventually export to .exe and have directX support?

(Sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere, but I didn't see the answer when I searched.)

You're by far the only one to "whos curious" about exe exporting and if you arent the only one then I pray that December 21st 2012 is earths true final day.

  • not a big deal if it is or it isnt

its been almost half a year sincle any significant changes

  • I have the answer.

    1. PHP / MySQL Web Site

Whatever you'd like for the site, along with a paypal/user registration system. There are CMS solutions out there that do this, including my own at http://webzengine.jessejoh.com/

    2. Software Interaction With Server

Your game doesn't interact directly with the MySQL Database, it goes through a PHP interface at an HTTP url. That way, there are no passwords or usernames stored in your game EXE, as it is just a regular web client doing the authentication.

  • draven to fix the physics uninstall and reinstall construct

when i did that everything went back to normal

  • Once construct reaches 1.0 I will happily reopen the construct community site

With the mass amount of changes I figured it may have not been a good time

  • I mean this with all due respect but I can't believe C1 doesn't have sprite indexing. There are alot of cool features, but its basically a MMF2 remake with less extensions until it truly delivers power. I know a list of about a dozen programmers that would easily use C1 (for fast completion) if there were only more power features like this. I also believe that going zero-based was something that should have been done from the start; there's actually no difference in how hard it is to teach, because non-programmers will have to learn either way.

  • I've since updated the graphics, and I continue to work hard on the engine. Everything is object oriented and therefore should pave the way for computer AI.

  • RTS: X2027

    18%

It is 2027, the world is overpopulated and suffering from economic collapse. A world war for the last of the resources is taking place and the planet is still without ideal alternative energy sources. It is now the fate of humanity to seek habitat on a new planet; Planet X. United States intelligence on the planet Mars has been leaked to the world revealing a large amounts of heavily concentrated hydrocarbons and solar energy is located on the planet. Even with mankind's best technology, the long trip to Planet X requires a half way point to refuel. It is now a battle of time and strategy between the world powers; EU, USA, Russia and China to secure the resources on planet Mars and become the first to create a new colonization.

  • A good way to fix a divide by zero is to ensure that the number you are dividing by is over 0 before performing the arithmetic operation by inserting a condition "Value to divide by > 0". This might be common sense, but this is a note for anyone else that gets stuck on this and can't figure it out.
