  • Alan243 If it helps, I have a whole bunch of example cap files for Construct Classic in my signature, good luck with CC and feel free to post if you have questions!

Edit: Hmm, my signature isn't showing up so, here get it at: Construct Classic R2 Examples Kit

  • Awesome! Thanks for sharing the answer <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> If you want to save stuff in the program folder itself too then use "AppPath" and it should work (doesn't need the Path plugin)

  • Hmm, that's a tricky one. You may want to make a custom numbering system out of sprites (0 to 9).

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I can't really tell the difference between the two photos, but I usually set Anti-Aliasing off when I play games (sharp edges are fine to me haha).

It is strange, but very barely noticeable. Maybe try clear-type font in the application settings?

  • pcfernandesjr actually, there doesn't even seem to be a Construct Classic cap of the file either sadly (it's PDF instructions), but the steps would be similar in C2 I assume.

  • Thanks Ashodin <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • These screenshots are awesome and all, but aren't you going to respond to the comments at least before bumping your post? <img src="smileys/smiley6.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • The "Process" and "Window" system plugins will probably help you attach another program/window to your application, but it'd be tricky to do.

As for opening a web browser: Use the "File" object and use its action "Execute File" to open a website (eg: "http://www.google.ca/") and it should work in the users default browser.

  • In Construct Classic, the angle of the sprite "is" the angle of the bullet. You set it there and then change the "Animation Angle" if you want the image to face different directions.

  • In the last gif it seems like "To Battle" and the bottom/enemy text scroll at the same time, is that meant to be?

It kinda feels odd, like they should be scrolling in a different order, or maybe the center text fades-in somehow. Top and bottom texts are good though <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • This has got to be one of the greatest games to ever surface on the internet!

    Yes, 1000x this!

    - bad hero animation

    - bad coins animations

    - looks bad on Firefox

    - looks not playable on Chrome

    - don't use drugs and Construct 2 at the same time :)

    1. If you study the hands you see top quality / high frame count, those fingers are smoothly animated

    2. True, they don't fit with the beautiful scenery of the rest of the game

3/4. Worked fine for me in both

    5. Probably, but I'd love to see what someone makes if they tried <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle">

Edit: Are you using Windows XP? Ashley just made a blog post saying that HTML5 games will perform worse in that case too: https://www.scirra.com/blog/ashley/8/time-to-upgrade-from-windows-xp

  • Finally a masterpiece! <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I'd skip the Facebook integration though (or allow guest mode)

  • I kinda mashed ctrl, shift, and I think spacebar a bunch of times and then my paddle (P1) grew to the whole screen height lol, secret cheat code? <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Looks great! <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Ah forgot to mention! We're giving out 5 free copies of the game (and other goodies) to the randomly chosen winners on: Facebook

Visit the link for more details on how to win! Contest ends Sunday night at midnight (UTC - 4)! <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle">
