  • ummm. that's a good question. Right now the problem is the wrapper for C2. Whatever Wrapper is used needs too support WebSockets.

As of right now I believe only CocoonJS and GameClosure supports WebSockets. However, neither of these wrappers are fully ready. GameClosure needs hand created Ouya plugin, and CocoonJS we just need to wait until they release there Ouya update.

But I would say yes, when it's ready. As for the Ouya Browser. I'm not sure.

  • just a thought without going deeply into the problem yet. But after looking at it. I would suggest adding Text.setText = line.count.

As it looks like right now. You create a number of new lines per tick equal to number of Routes. You want to embed the the loop code under the On touch code.

It's ok to track your own points. but you get

navpoint.count that track the numger of objects

loopindex the current count in any loop

however, what I think your doing. Is that your actually drawing a line from

route(navpoint) which is the most recently created object.

route(navpoint+1) which doesn't exist and will be default to 0 so the first one.

    you can do

    start line at route(navpoint -1)

    to route(navpoint)

    you can also use

    route(route.count - 2)

    route(route.count -1)

    I assume you mean

    ONLINE Multiplayer

    Offline Single player

Multiplayer means well multi people. There are a good hadful of local Multiplayer games. These are offline. Bombsquad is fantastic. But it's strength is only in being with multiplayers.

As for singleplayer. well any video game can be single player.

These are odd questions as making MP/SP games isn't based on hardware, but the developer's ability. It's more appropriate to ask "can you develope a mp/sp game." as it's not really a hardware thing.

However, Android does support full communications models. So there is even a few online games.

On a final note. I'm not impressed with the port games so far. You can really feel the quick copy/paste work and sometimes without enough work.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I'm assuming you using Rojohound canvas. I don't know if the canvas plugin holds onto the created canvas or not, but you can try creating the canvas as global objects and re-using them. Just incase it's a canvas problem.

As I understand WebGL mode has an ability to reload based on layout. But I'm not sure canvas plugin does.

I'm not one for thread maintenance :D but there are others with interest, but who knows.

Well I'm not sure when my game will bed done :P I hope to finish it soon. Bomb Squad is way better with 2+ players. well more the better :D. As a 1 player game. No so interesting.

  • Check for the Clay.io plugin on the forum. Clay.io offers an IAP. I don't know if there are any region restrictions. But it's worth checking out.

    > Answer: He reads Your forum posts... want to make my released soon game engine profitable, that's why I ask this question.

Um I don't believe any exported C2 game has any copy protection. C2 toolkit as some kind, but the resulting games do not. If you want the games to have copy protection. I believe your currently on your own.

  • No your not the only one. I had some confusing adjustment times. I think it's because angle 0 is considered direction right on a earth horizontal plane. I also find 0Right is often used in trigonometry.

However, you are right. Often I find that angle 0 is either UP in other 2D tools or DOWN in 3D.

    You will adjust :P

  • Well it did get an initial rush of just quick ports, but it seems to have steadied off. Ouya uses a sandbox method were all games first go. Depending on downloads, purchases and rating the game will move out of the sound box and into a easier more pronounced categorie.

But any system with open-ness will get low quality games. Just check Windows OS :D low quality games everywhere. I should know. I made one :D

  • Ok checkd it out. This may not be a WebSocket problem. Didn't test it out before, but C2 games seem to pause when not in the window :( if a fix is possible. This will be up to Ashley to give us. Hopefully the problem will be fixable :)

I will let you know when I find out myself. I agree anykind of build up of the buffer for online games is a bad thing. It can greatly distort the results. :(

  • Any quality yes. But there are requirements that the game work well with the Ouya. I suggest checking the developer requirements.

Yes there are also games not finished. They are releasing as an early beta demo. Sorta good and bad unfortuanatally :(

I agree with Ashley, the software must continue, and be better, the non legal can't have a better product than us in this case

jayderyu : you are married with her, she is not married with another one ^^

My mistake I misinterpreted :) makes a lot more sense now :)

  • There are no developer costs for the Ouya out side of having the hardware. However, if you are planning any IAP. THen you need to fill out a license agreement with Ouya team that is sent to the US tax agency, which requires a notary public to sign.

I'm not sure your second question.

Thanks Ashley. That's a very mature opinion on the subject matter. Try to provide a better product than the what a cracked version provides. To bad more companies don't feel that way :(
