  • Thanks guys, I'll check these options out!

  • Hi, I'm using the CSVtoArray plugin to dump all my dialogue text into an array. However, obviously, I have come to the issue of comma punctuation breaking this idea.

Is there a way to get around this or even a better way to keep track of large amounts of dialogue and responses?

    Thanks in advance.

  • This is as far as I got - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1j3wtpg_sEIcpActmNIZrLObUGvA6bm92/view?usp=sharing

Ideally I am looking for something where the middle mouse scroll zooms to the mouse cursor position smoothly like an RTS or 4X (not the current scroll position). Also you may notice that the panning doesn't happen at the same rate at different zoom levels like it does in the Touch: Zooming example in C3.

I've had a look around the forums but still the closest thing I've found is the Construct 3 Touch: Zooming example. Does anyone have anything similar to this or even a tutorial link?

    Thanks.

  • Ah yes this is the good stuff!

    Thanks R0J0hound!

  • Hey, I am looking to create something similar to the resource system in creeper world, ultimately I want little resource packets (sprites) to travel along pathways between nodes to their destination as required - See example https://youtu.be/XtHgFz-d4TY?t=1215 or even something like this old flash game (The Space Game) https://youtu.be/VI6smKzHuHQ?t=778

I've had a little look around the forums & haven't found anything similar. If someone can direct me to an example or give me some tips as to where to start on the research for this I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks!

  • So a little setup - I decided to fire up my old laptop today to see if my game works (reasonably) on a low end machine. Immediately I had pretty poor performance issues (stutter, low fps etc) which were unexpected because the game shouldn't be taxing at all (it's very basic) & runs perfectly well at 60fps on my 5 year old phone. I searched around & found that it was because it's probably using the integrated graphics rather than the GPU. I confirmed this with the "rendererDetail" expression.

So far I've tried - using the NVIDIA control panel to set the preferred graphics processor to High-performance NVIDIA processor as well as setting both google chrome & NW.js to high performance in the program settings. I've also tried #ignore-gpu-blocklist none have worked. I had a decent look around the forums but haven't found anything so I'm not sure what to try next.

    Laptop Info -

    Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Mobile Processor i7-3610QM (2.30GHz) 6MB

    Memory (RAM) 8GB SAMSUNG 1333MHz SODIMM DDR3 MEMORY (2 x 4GB)

    Graphics Card NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 650M - 1.0GB DDR5 Video RAM - DirectX® 11

    Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000

    Windows 10 Home

Thanks for your help in advance.

  • Hi, so I have a world map experiment made up of sprites to represent the land. I have it looping while using A & D to scroll left or right, however I would like to also be able to drag it with the middle mouse button while the sprites maintain their relative position to each other. I have no idea where to start with this.

I've had a look around the forums, but everything I have found seems to be about scrolling the layout rather than just the sprites.

Here's where I'm at so far.

  • Cheers R0J0hound this is exactly what I was looking for!

  • Thanks, I've had a little look at the DrawingCanvas & am not sure how I would implement this kind of animation through it. If you could provide me with further instruction it would be greatly appreciated =)
