  • I'm not sure it's the browser. The fully polished version of the Ghost Shooter works for me just fine in Chrome, but the posted tutorial version I cited the link for in my previous post still breaks after a short stint of playing. How is this resolved?

  • Okay, is there a way to resolve it for Chrome users or do we just have to notify players that "this game works best with" IE or FF or what have you?

  • Try Construct 3

  • When I first clicked the link to the demo for the project and it takes me to the html at scirra.com/demos/ghosttutorial I haven't even begun to attempt to make my own project yet. I'm not sure why this is happening because I haven't encountered this with other games/programs.

  • Hi,

I'm very interested and excited about trying C2, but I have to say that my interest is diminished since I tried the demo for the first example tutorial, the ghost shooter. I found that after a few seconds of play, the character no longer responded appropriately to my key presses of the arrow keys for movement. I can only speculate as to the causes of this problem, but let me first describe what happens. Play begins as expected, but after about five seconds of moving around and shooting simultaneously, key presses begin to have unexpected/unpredictable results. Pressing a left arrow key results in a renewed movement to the right or no movement at all, for example. I'm using a CMStorm Quickfire Pro keyboard with n-key rollover and 1ms polling, so I'm wondering if this is the difference that causes the demo game to fail for me. I was kind of surprised at the apparent brokenness of the very first demo offered to new users of your product. I would have reported this under the bug section, but the rules state that all bugs reported without an attached file would be closed without response. Obviously, I can't provide the file needed as this demo is not my work. <img src="smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
