  • Hi - you can set up separate event sheets for each layout. If you have some core events that you need to trigger on multiple layouts you simply "include" a common event sheet into each of those other event sheets.

  • I've been visiting this website every day for 30 days now, and spent considerable time in these forums over the past 12 days helping people out with technical problems, and some gremlin keeps creeping into my account and resetting my "Visited days in a row" back to zero.

Is this just me, or have I misunderstood something?

Yes, I know it's sad but I was kinda looking forward to earning my Devotee, Dedicated and Fanatic medals.

  • Hi dhanalakshmi

    1) Set up the hosted database.

    2) Write your script for adding records.

    3) Set up Construct 2 to make an AJAX call to that script whenever a question is answered.

Which part do you need help with?

  • Thanks Do you program these in yourself? If so, do you control when and where they appear?

  • Hi socialpilgrim what optimisation steps have you taken?

  • Hi YetAnotherSuperhero - would "On end of layout" help you achieve what you need?

  • Hi A0Nasser - if the difference between your game and Limbo is that yours is free then I think you'd better be very careful indeed. The Limbo guys are likely to be rather upset and come after you with some kind of legal action. You might want to speak with a lawyer in advance of publishing your game - some free advice now might not be what you want to hear but might save you a ton of trouble down the road.

  • Hi Anonnymitet

I went to the play store on my phone and typed bit and run - it didn't list your game but suggested I may have mistyped "hit and run"

2 apps were listed: "Temple Run" and "Run"

I clicked on more and looked through the list of 250 games that came up - yours was the very last one!

I don't know if this is something you can optimise at all but just thought I'd let you know.

Then I saw that I needed to disclose my wifi connection information to play the game (as well as accept the in-app purchase option) and thought that would put quite a few people off - including myself - for a game and developer I do not yet know.

I don't wish to discourage you but thought the frank feedback would be more helpful than not commenting at all.

All the best with your game.

  • Hi No offense, but personally I find ads quite annoying when they interrupt game play so end up harming the game experience. I would rather pay for access to higher levels. Someone was talking yesterday about maybe putting a forum discussion together focused on sharing best practice regarding income generation.

  • Hi vladoss I thought the nodeWebkit plugin was supposed to do handle that too.

  • That's awesome and very generous I shall bookmark the resource for when I need some of this. Thank you.

  • Hi tomhaiger - I have no experience of these ads yet. Where do they originate from?

  • Try Construct 3

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Hi yankee1950 - the game looks interesting, well done! How do you protect your game from being ripped off when sold in browser (non app) format?

  • Hi Cgimler - have you had any joy with your database connection?
