  It felt to me like the speed should reduce more when the craft is pointing upwards, especially as I tried flipping it right over and it ended up flying backwards but the background speed hadn't really changed much.

  As an aside, looking at your code in the Gravity group, you'd probably be better of using the switch plugin with range, or some else statements if you don't want to use plugins.

  Hi Tombas - took me a while to work out the controls - I tried clicking everywhere with the mouse (d'oh!) - but once I worked out what on earth was going on it seemed quite fun.

  Hi trueicecold Could you break the sprite into two parts, one (at the top) for detecting the collision and the other (at the bottom, but visually a continuation of the top) which just tags along for the ride?

  Alternatively you could try some math on collision event regarding the position of both objects.

  Hi - get all your connection stuff working on your host before trying the AJAX connection.

  You should be able to test the scripts by just running the url directly in the browser.

  Normally a host will provide example connection scripts for you.

  It'll be the same with localhost - you'll still need to connect to the database.
