  • Hello again

I'm few months away to finish my game and still waiting for the Xbox Live features to be added to the engine.

Ashley I know you are busy by working on Construct 3 but can you tell us when we can expect Xbox Live features to be added on Windows plugin?

    Thank you

  • The light plugin has a lot of limitations.

The AA is not good at all.

The infinite shadow doesn't work properly.

The game I'm working on is highly dependents on the light plugin and the problem with infinite shadow is really annoying and I'm just wasting my time everyday trying to fix this issue. I have spent 3 months on this game and now I have to redo a lot of works because there is a bug in light plugin which can't be fixed.

  • i have noticed the hiccups too, and searched about it but couldn't find anything. I thought I'm the only person having that problem

Lone Light is an atmospheric puzzle game about a source of light, alone in the universe trying to find its identity. Players have the control of the source of light, however, the source is not distinguishable from its surrounding. To figure out the position of the source and where it is going, players have to use the shadows created by the obstacles in the level to reach the destination, black holes, to enter the next level. Paying attention to the shadows is the most important aspect of the gameplay.

Around 100 levels Secret levels, players can find them inside of other levels New mechanisms get introduced in the game when players progress through the game, for Example: Players have to use shadow to find invisible objects, players gain the ability to move some specific objects and etc. Original soundtracks (If we can raise enough money on Indiegogo)

  • eli0s here you are http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fi ... 7329464077

Move the light with arrow keys

I set light height to 0, nothing changed

  • I know if Light Height and object's shadowcast Height be equal, it creates infinite shadow but the problem is, for big objects, shadows are not infinite, when the light is close to a big object that has shadowcast, the shadow is not infinite. so what should I do to fix this? using small objects to create the big object? Is it a bug?

  • Same here! I'm really impressed at how fast they were.

I'm having some trouble setting up my game though and I'm not sure if I should just wait, or try to contact somebody. Do you mind if I send you a DM?

I actually don't have an Xbox yet and my game is in early development so I haven't worked with Visual Studio yet.

  • great thanks for posting... keep us posted on how it goes..

how far along is your game?

I have done everything and my game concept got approved, now just working on the game itself and waiting for Scirra to add Xbox Live features to Windows plugin.

  • Hi everyone

So more than a month ago I applied for IDads@Xbox and I decided to share my experience for you to get a better idea of the program.

First of all you have to apply here: http://www.xbox.com/en-CA/developers/id

After around 2 or 3 days they will contact you and give you information about the process and send you an NDA to sign (to protect your ideas and theirs).

After signing the NDA then they will send you a form to complete which is about the concept of your game, it's a really long form that asks everything about your game.

After completing the form, you have to wait for them to review it (they says it takes 13 business days but mine took around a week)

Then they will email you about your concept approval (if they approve your game concept) and tell you to wait around 15 business days to complete few agreements which let your to release you game for Xbox One and Windows 10 and get access to Xbox Live documentations.

It is really simple and they are really supportive. I hope we see a lot of Construct 2 games on Xbox One soon.
