  • This definitely should be standard within the official program as I think many people will struggle with sprite fonts when it should be straight forward, and it's essential in game design to help the game look as it should all the time for all users!

    As this is 3rd party I'm assuming one of the main downsides is that it won't work on the Scirra Arcade....?

  • I am making a game to run as an app on a Mac. So using the Node webkit.

    The game runs at 60fps on the Mac but only in a smaller window, at full-screen it runs at 30fps.

    Is this because it is increasing the resolution too much?

    What can I do to get my game to run at 60fps at full screen?

    I have tried reducing the resolution on the Mac itself, which works but then the game looks noticeable more blurred and less crisp.

  • I didn't know if some threads weren't being used anymore. This is so frustrating because in the manual it clearly says Window Size makes no difference to performance, but it evidently does. If I had used a small window size from the beginning the game would have run fine on the MAC.

    I don't know why it works like this, it shouldn't increase the resolution to have it full screen. If you have a small window full screen, the resolution still looks just as good but it runs the game much better, even though the actual game objects are the same resolution in both situations!

  • All I know is when testing my application on a Mac the game runs at 30fps when full screen, but at 60fps when I have a smaller window!

    I don't understand this! Surely there must be a way to get it to run at 60fps at full screen!

  • Hey man, so have you managed to get two pieces of music to work in your game??

    I can't do it.

    If I have two tracks in my music folder it can only play which ever one occurs first when running the game and then won't play the other.

    It seems you can only have one music track in the music folder!?

  • Yes was trying to use different volumes as I thought it was important to have the sounds louder than the music or the sounds would be lost in the music.

    Sound stuff just doesn't seem to work properly. Tags aren't making any difference either which is stupid.

    Really can't figure this out!

    I can't get sound effects and music to work together/at the same time.

    If music is playing can't hear sound effects, if I delete the play Music event then I can hear my sound effects fine!

    None of the tutorials or Manual stuff seems to talk about this. D

    Don't know what I'm doing wrong, obviously it's meant to be fairly straight forward to have a music backing track with a few sounds over the top?
